Hey guys!! So, as you all know, Savio Prime has done WONDERS with this figure. No joke, check it out; http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/313496-double-blaster-bumblebee.html. Well... I'm taking it further, and I owe the inspiration for this to Savio. So if you see this, brother, thank you.

OK, so enough teasing you guys on my plans. So far this is all roof of concept, but I think that this should all work really well!! I'll be using parts from the DMK figure, to whom, I thankfully found someone local to be able to cast the parts. And I've the feeling there will be more done if they come out good.

So far I'm thinking that the hood piece is going to flip around to the back of the figure. I'm going to split the central hood piece horizontally into halves, and it will kind of fold up onto itself within the figure's torso. the back half of the sides are going to them be on ball joints that will be connected to the upper/back half of the central hood and wrap around into the inside of the figure, under that arms pits, hiding the half of the central hood piece that is in the torso. Now, those side parts are going to have some parts from the DMK for detailing.

I'm contemplating on using more from the DMK that I initially thought, so there is more to come. Again, everything on this is all kind of rudimentary and basic, but as I progress, I'll be sharing with you guys what I come up with. Thanks for the read guys!!

You could just use the arms of bumblebee from the dotm deluxe there connected both by mushroom pegs so it's easy to do plus the yellows both match

I've tried this before, and the pegs aren't the same size. Neither figure has a similar peg size to many other figures, which makes them a bit difficult for modding.

Thanks closet rat! Now I'm kind of stuck though, because I've got to wait for the other parts to come back, and I'm searching for joint parts, now.

That's a nylon model airplane hinge. savio-prime introduced me to them on this figure, and they are fairly available, at hobby shops (real ones, not hobby lobby). I'll see if I can't get you the name of them when I get home from work tonight :)

Hthrun, sorry bud, but it seems I may have thrown the packaging out for those hinges. Sorry, man.

UPDATE TIME!! Castings for the DMK parts have been done, and are on the way back to me (Thanks HThrun for the hook up on that). Hopefully I'll have those in hand soon. HOWEVER!! after seeing what HasTak did with the 2014 upgraded Bee legs, I started thinking.. How could I make the legs on the Battle blade bee better, and more screen accurate. I mean.. I'm doing all this stuff to the upper body, I surely can't leave the lower half alone, right? So I started tinkering with the DMK parts on the legs of the BBBB figure. Well.. This is what I am coming up with so far!

I'm also thinking that I can use the inner leg pieces from the DMK on the figure as well, however that seems like it might take some filing of the inner legs of the base figure. More to come soon ;)

Ps: I may have even figured a way to make the wheels sit inside the legs, as well!!

More work in progress shots!! Casted parts came in! Unfortunately not all are usable, but hoping that I'll get another batch soon. But this is a good idea of where this is headed. The gauntlet loss like it's going to work great, abd the hands need done modification with done hobby base swing hinges (as shown). The lower legs are from the dmk still, but went casted, as they a little bit of an after thought. More to come!

Thank you, again, closetrat! I'm even trying to figure a way to have the backend of the car down and imitate the outter leg armor. Just have to find my junker battle blade bee to test the theory out.

...you might try checking the leg transformation of the '74 mold from TFTM - sounds close to what you're describing...

Speaking of which - I need to dig mine out & start working on it again, hate roadblocks tho...
