That's a terrific site. It would be fun to see these reissued in packs of twelve or something.

I used this checklist when completing my collection.

Still missing some of the uber-rare ones from the Japanese giftset, but I probably won't bother tracking them down.

Oh man a BeastFormers forum? Rock and roll! I love those things!

I only have about 11 myself (of course all of my originals from childhood have disappeared) all with their rubsigns...Apparently lots of others love them too, as they tend to fetch some high prices, especially those Laser Beasts.

Awesome collection though, it is inspiring! And thanks for the link!

Battle Beasts! Fire! Wood! Water! and....Sunburst?! Hell yeah!!! I have tons of these freakin' things and never even knew they had their roots in Transformers (which I collected simultaneously) until a few years ago when I found out by accident. Then, recently, I finally got a chance to watch the Headmasters series in which they appear, albiet too briefly. I even managed to pick up the Ram vehicle a while back.

How are they connected to Transformers exactly?

They actually had the full listing with pics in one of the Action Figure mags this month. Can't remember if it was Lee's or Digest. I just know i went through it this morning at Borders going, "Have him, have him, have him..."

I love those things. I so wish I still had mine from when I was a kid, I had all 3 big bases and the 3 chariots. It's all I can do not to collect them now, especially since they're rooted in TFs. Just don't have the space, plus getting them with their weapons is crazy expensive.

They show up in an episode of Headmasters. Here's part a catalog scan that confirms it (bot and con logos above the Beast Formers).

The also show up in the comics briefly and in the DW TF Annual (Megs is buggered by the Preds on the Battle Beasts planet).

wow!!! i'm glad i decided to post this, lol. They are part of the TF line because (as mentioned) they were part of the Headmasters series. In japan they had autobot and decepticon stickers, not the fire/wood/water. However by the time laser beasts came out (Shadow Beasts in the US) they had the elemental symbols.

The guide for the beasts was in this months Lee's and was done by one of the members at that forum sight! and most the beasts used in it belong to a few select members, it's more or less because of that one member and the help of those g=fans the guide was made!

...and whats wrong with having toys in box? lol. I also have them loose and even one broken :(

I had a bunch of them back in the day. Not a huge amount, I didn't have many duplicates and I think there were still some I didn't even have one instance of. And much to my lament I never got the water team base. Fun little guys though. I did do the mail order thing or whatever it was to get the big poster that had all their names on it.

Toy collecting when you're a kid with no income to speak of and no car sucks. There were two early TF micromaster sets that I got off ebay last year because I didn't manage to get them when they were first around.
