Yea I can't think of any actor that came out and said this film stinks before it's released. I mean if we went by what Gerard Butler was saying then Gods of Egypt and London Has Fallen would be great films.

I'm waiting around on the view on someone that doesn't have a job connected to the movie. Really split at this point on if the film will be good or bad.

It's not like Cavill describing the film as "epic, thrilling, and visually spectacular" is telling us anything we didn't already know from the trailers anyway, so I don't really see why it would matter if he was being paid to do so or even affiliated with the film at all.

I have a gut feeling that this flick is going to be a trainwreck; too much content jammed in with too little development. I hope I'm wrong because we need this to do well as future DC movies hang in the balance. Still, when I check it out, I'll go in with low expectations, so if it's decent, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

It's apparently a secret, but some are speculating that she's playing
Barbara Gordon, with the scene being cut speculated to be a recreation of the scene from The Killing Joke.

As for Jena herself, she's an actress who has been in quite a bit of movies, which include the last three Hunger Games movies, and Snyder's Sucker Punch.

    That sounds awesome. :rock :

I could see that being the case, it and it being cut especially with the home release being rated R.

That's not an unexpected reaction, based on what we've seen there's no massive shift in tone and style etc from Man of Steel so it seems a safe bet that anyone who didn't like it there won't like it here either.

I wouldn't worry, movie will do fine.

The movie should do okay at the box office but if it can't make everyone happy then Star Wars doesn't have to worry about getting dethroned.

Although personally it's rather bad for me because as someone who read both Marvel and DC I'd like my recent superhero films I enjoyed list to include more than just Marvel movies. Really hope Warner Brothers can get a live action DC movie I like at some point so I can stop saying I haven't been happy with a DC live action movie since The Dark Knight.

At least I've got live action TV to fall back on.

It's been the opposite for me, because while I had small problems with Man of Steel, I still enjoyed it much more than any Marvel Studios movie so far, other than Guardians. I don't know what it is, but I can enjoy dumb action movies like the Bay Transformers, but when it comes to super-heroes, it really bugs me that the Marvel Studios movies are all such empty fluff. They are somewhat true to the source material (not nearly as true as they get cited as being, but whatever), but they're true to mainstream comics at their worst and most banal... not mainstream comics at their best.

I mean, as far as Marvel characters go, you take something like FOX's X2... and it's about something. There's a theme. And it gets explored. But the Marvel Studios movies are all about nothing. In comic terms, they're like the random forgettable fill-in issues between the good issues that make you actually like a comic book series. Even something like Ant-Man, which I had high hopes for originally, the best I can say about it is that it was "cute." It had a couple humorous moments. I loved the Thomas the Train gag. But I want more than a cute distraction and a couple chuckles out of these movies.
