One of the interesting things about Batman is that he can be in a variety of tones: from happy and fun (Adam West, BRAVE AND BOLD) to dark (Burton-Nolan, BTAS). It will be interesting to see what tone this will be.

Ugh can we get a superman series instead? Kinda tired of all the batman we have been getting.

Or how about a Spinoff staring someone other than Batman?

    Longshot here ........Harley Quinn?

Shouldn't the headline be "New Batman Series Coming Soon, then Cancelled Soon After"?

Isn't that the design of those Batman toys from last year?

Yes - recently they downsized it to 4" scale and have started adding in more JL members (Superman, the Flash, Green Arrow), but there seemed to be a slight post-apocalyptic/cyber-punkish vibe to several of the 5" figures - assuming that that's the direction the series is going to go in.

Yeah, there's a toyline, done in this style, that's been out for quite a while:

But that pic used at the expo does look like it was lifted directly from a piece of animation.

The art used for the toyline looks different:

So who knows? Maybe it's for a new animated series, or maybe it's for a single, stand-alone animated movie that will be sold with the toys. Or maybe it's from an animated portion of a commercial for the toys...

You mean the movies that haven't come out yet? I mean yeah, possibly in the future, but with no designs to work off of what-so-ever, I think it's better that they just try to do something different for now.

I think he meant the animated movies...

If they wanted a fun/kid-friendly series, then they should go with this style:

That's what I was just about to say. The Bat symbol is definitely the same.

Could work out. If it has the same tone of The Batman, that wouldn't be terrible. It wouldn't be what a lot of old fans would want, but it'd be better then the cartoony shit that was Brave and the bold.

Sorry, didn't like that show, never will, and no, I don't care.

Well, if it already has a toyline and that toyline actually sells, maybe the new cartoon won't get cancelled after five seconds.

Now let's hope it's actually GOOD to justify it staying long.

New DC show, with Batman... of course.

No Superman, no Martian Manhunter, no Wonder Woman, and no Aquaman, just Batman because God forbid to give attention to somebody else who is desperately needs some. Green Lantern got his own series, and maybe since Flash is getting his live action show they thought there's no need for a Flash series?

I've seen that toyline at my Wal Mart a couple times. I wouldn't be shocked if this new show ends up being canned for some stupid reason in the future. I mean if CN proved anything by canning Beware the Batman it's that not even the caped crusader himself is safe from the CN executives.
