This is great news! I've always been a huge fan of this show (even more so than BTAS), so I'll be looking into this.

Bought. Batman Beyond is a more than worthy successor to BTAS and I love the hell out of it.

Yay. Yet another set with a "screw you" disc for folks who already bought the individual season volumes.

    Also known as:

"Bonus for people who didn't pick up the individual seasons."
    And...
    "Incentive for collectors/completists."

I think I can count on one hand the number of DVD and/or BR discs I have where I've actually bothered to watch any of the 'bonus features', so a few more extras isn't going to sway me to get this when I already have the season sets.

    *looks at DVD shelf*

Nope... it's already there. The title is misleading, it should read "Batman Beyond Came to DVD a few years ago, but WB is putting it out again in a boxset!!"

A great series (I'm a HUGE fan of the DCAU) but I'm not sure how willing I'd be to plunk down 100 bucks on a dvd set I'll barely watch, as I've already seen the entire series.

These days I'm cutting back on movie/tv show purchases, especially box sets. I remember a time when dvds were must buys ($32 for Pulp Ficton! $64 for the The E.T. Collector's Ed. box set!). Even with BRs, I'll only buy "must haves." ie. I don't own any of the Nolan Batmans, holding out for the BR trilogy box set

If they release a bluray version, I'll buy it. Untill then, my individual sets will do just fine.

I don't buy DVDs that often but I've been trying to work on it, TV especially. So I'll probably get this eventually, I want to get the entire DCAU on DVD

i was miffed after i bought the 4 volumes of the BTAS dvds, then they re-released the all inclusive Boxset at almost HALF what i paid for my volumes.

so i am kinda burned by re-releases.
BB is a good show, but i already have the first set. a pass for me.

I am dying for some other DVDs now. I'd love to have the Filmation shows like the cartoon Star Trek, the old Batman/Tarzan Hour, The Wuzzles, etc.

did they release Static Shock on DVD?

Yes, but I'm neither of those. And I'd still like the new bonus disc.

Doesn't seem like it'd be so much to ask for them to sell it separately. The only example of this I can think of is Invader Zim. I wish it happened more often.
