So, I thought it would be a good idea to look up reviews for it, but nope, just a bunch of degenerates and here is a perfect example Transformers 4 Age Of Extinction: Movie Review - YouTube

Now, he said things that only Jeremy Jahns said, and didn't go into specifics on anything. This here, is why fans of the series can be assholes, it is because of people like this guy. Seriously, if you can watch his review and agree with what he said, then I'm not even gonna bother coming on the boards anymore. Like, I am at my breaking point with how rude people have been about this.

    I kinda agree with you.

I normally except everyone's opinions, I sometimes defend a "hater" if he's being abused for an honest opinion which is understandable. But most of these YouTube "reviews" don't really talk about the movie, just Michael Bay and his directing skills. Last time I checked, movie reviewers review movies.... Not the director!

It depends, the reason I am with this one is because he goes on to call the people that like the movies ******s and faggots, and I don't support that bullshit.

The director's style is relevant if that is one of the issues the movie has though.

Doesn't help that when the reviews are bad simply because of the director.

I've said it before, and I suspect after watching AoE I'll say it again: if Bay wore a disguise and made the films under a different name then they wouldn't be as criticized.

I say that now, but I also said that Pain and Gain sucked.

But they can at l talk about the plot, characters, positives, negatives, humour, music, visuals, acting, script, and give reasonable ideas to improve the film. Not just rant about the director and the length of the movie!

I lost more brain cells watching this than I did watching the first three TF movies multiple times.

"Michael Bay I hope you get cancer."

"Everyone involved in this movie deserves to die."

Seriously? I can't even believe someone would say this over a movie...or for anything.

Pain & Gain is easily the best Bay movie.

Hell if anything that convinced me that if Marvel ever decides to do a "Power Man and Iron Fist Heroes for Hired" movie that Bay should be their #1 guy for the job.

People take these things WAY to seriously. It's a movie people, not your life.

Honestly, I was / am concerned that AoE would have that same "rushed job" feeling that Pain and Gain had.

IMO, even The Island was better.

You mean "Logan's Run"?...(that's my ungraceful but poignant jab at 'the Island'.) I feel like the Island would have been a great movie, if you never watched any of its antecedents.

Michael Bay has done some good movies. I especially liked "The Rock", and even "Armageddon" was fun, although, long. I don't know why his movies are so long.

Still, he can't be doing too poorly if his Transformers movies are making gobs of money.

The Island fails miserably because Michael Bay can't do "earnest". Pain & Gain works because it's framed in a way where the only thing he has to be sincere about is the idea that these guys are total assholes that deserve to get made fun of.

I can't imagine people who hate the movies would want to kill fans of the movies. That's a level of crazy that I can't fathom. :(

if you can't accept people having differing opinions than yourself, i'd agree that you shouldn't visit message boards.

if you feel strongly about a movie deserving better praise then you should act on that and say what you liked about the movie in order to get your ideas and feelings across.

If all you can do is call someone else a "degenerate" then you don't really have a viewpoint worth expressing. something you should think about.

I really wonder if this subforum is allowed to be a cesspit like this once a movie hits. I imagine fighting it is about as effective as trying to push the ocean backwards.

What if I told you that critics can easily just not have a good time seeing these movies.
