Damn I missed rex again. I've rewatched both rex and the f91 videos several times tonight. I'm hyped for rex mostly. But it's the tagline at the end of the f91 video "this is only the beginning" that is really intriguing my interest. Early in the video they show 00, turn a, v2 assault buster, the first unicorn gundam, before it shows a later release, double x, then anime line releases. I get the impression that they want to do second versions of previous releases and I'm hopeful that turn a and victory are on that list. 00 had it's metal releases and I happily have two so I think they can consider it redone. It's the same with unicorn. It's been remade with the full action versions, then the full armor compatible versions. They did a promotion for a metal unicorn didn't they as well? I don't think anything else was ever shown besides a teased silhouette. Victory has had a few releases, though improvements could be made with the "evolution spec" they have in mind with updating the sculpt, the materials, and all the articulation techniques they've learned. Really I just want a shot at a new v2 assault buster. Maybe throw a shokew at us while they are at it. Turn a and x could definitely use an upgrade. My turn a has not aged well and it's been kept mostly in its box which is the sad part. Turn x is better but it sucks I never got the weapon set for them so they still feel lacking a bit. But these all have the same thing in common, they are among the early releases in the line. The crossbones have been remade, the rx-78, 00, unicorn, and I'm probably forgetting more. I wouldn't be surprised if they show another evolution spec version of one of the early releases they showed in the video next.
Up on Solaris Japan with a ridiculously high price. I was considering making an account since I like the options they offer for customs, but the fact that you have to pay upfront together with the insane pricing has turned me off.
I know it's technically not the SHF thread but USA Gundam already put up their stock for the MRD Barbatos Lupus Rex up on Sat and it sold out so chances are that sometime today or this week BBTS will put up their stock up for pre-order so keep your eyes peeled
Everytime I get an alert from bbts about a pre-order I jump. But not yet. I'm going to wait and see about the blue full armor since I didn't like their price. Perfect Gundam has been pre-ordered since it went up, I believe they got more orders available for it because it was sold out. And today I didn't hesitate for the new Evo spec F91. I assume the anime line will continue with new designs and continued focus while the Evo spec is just another moniker for version 2.
0083 figures seem to have stalled. I hope they don't give up on them, we haven't even gotten the Full Burnern yet.
I hope not too! I just feel like it's been awhile since anything 0083 was announced. Xamel was the last one announced, and the last 15-or-so figures haven't been 0083.
Ehhh.... Wasn't Gato's gelgoog announced after xamel? I still can't believe that's a normal release btw. I imagine once we get over the new year slowdown we'll see releases come out and announcements for the next batch soon after.
