Yeah, I get it. Just that anyone who wants to talk about Macross is doing it in that thread. I don't want to go through a similar thing like what happened in the SOC thread last week so I'll just say that I hope unfree is a lot more to talk about here soon.

On the Macross front, a recent interview had one of the HMR guys say that their current focus will be on getting the destroids out so we can probably expect the others to be announced soon.

I keep wishing Bandai to finally announce their HM-R VOTOMS line.

    It's friggin' perfect for it!

Don't want those puny 1/48 Actics for my Atlas!

Well if I win that shopping spree on EE, my first stop is that 3 Zero Badboy. That thing looks gorgeous. But I would love a HM-R line of VOTOMs too.

I was just thinking the same thing about the Roundfacer. It should just be some changes to the outer armor and otherwise use the same frame and internals as the Dougram.

Also you know we should be seeing the other two Destroids fairly quickly. They use entirely the same lower half from the Defender.

Exactly except wait for the "exclusive" it's coming. Prolly Bigfoot so they can recoup the extra tooling $250 retail..

I see the Korchima Special as being more likely an exclusive. I think you can get away with some shared parts between the Blockhead and Bigfoot. I can't remember if there was a big size difference.

Who knows right? I am judging this based of my RD experience of Bandai turning essential pieces into exclusives.

Well if they do, I've been getting my Bandai exclusives from NY. Not sure if they have the best prices, but still way better than BBTS.

The size is awesome fun to handle and easier to follow a whole collection rather than bigger bots: allows for better scaling than MPs. Just look at where that's going.... I love TFs but I am not dropping everything else I collect to have a 4' tall Omega Supreme in my house. It's cool but ultimately impractical.

They're in the same general ballpark as the MP Carbots. The Valk's are the smallest of them.

I found out about the HMR Macross figures too late, which is kind of a good thing now that I think about it, as I would be even harder pressed to keep up collecting. But I have a bunch of 1/48th Yamato Valk's going back. but I will happily do what I can for Dougram, that series needs more love.

Depends how completist you want to be. VF-1S's are pricey the rest is fairly reasonable the Monsters are super cheap right now. I threw about a grand at the problem but you get a lot for the money and I bought a few doubles. I do not regret it in the least but of course I like the enemy mechs and destroids the same or perhaps more than the Valks.

Haha, I was watching the HMR line develop and I resisted for a while to my dismay now. Luckily, the only one I missed that I really want is the GPB but yeah, the line is so good and fun, it will suck you in once you start. I am so all in at this point it's not even funny.

The Monster is mind blowing and AmiAmi is giving it away right now. But I defy any classic Macross fan to hold that Regult in their hand and not go all in on the line.

Yeah the Regult is what sucked me in. It is so sweet! Once I had that, I had to have Valks to go up against it and then I needed more Regults, lol. By the way, I think the heavily discounted Monsters at amiami are gone as of today. Get ready to watch the price of that thing skyrocket once people realize they missed out and the remaining stock is sold out.

Wish ami's giving away the Monster when the exchange-rate is alot better than today and when their shipping-fees ain't stupidly ludicrously expensive for it (around 6700y or so, i heard)...

Hum yup. I did order it with another HMR but you have the size of it. But let's put it in my terms. The Monster cost me about $200 give or take. Screaming deal, $200 for that shipped? Best deal for me this year hands down, well except for that SOC GX-06 I got for $100 yesterday that was deal of 2017 but the Monster is definitely up there.
