Still trying to decide on D-Hell myself. I do sorta want it, but also wanna wait for the inevitable (I hope) Warlock figure.
Doubt it'll be anything that different. Maybe a blue beam, added unexplainable stuff to the hip, and the grey/white color scheme. The "unofficial" Snow White from the book had something interesting going for it until the GMFFC came out. Now that the it's confirmed we're getting the correct scythe for D-hell, I'm slightly happier in getting it. If I want something to be changed, it would be the lower legs. I would prefer it to be slightly wider or flared out as it goes down to the ankles.
Yeah, I ended up putting it for sale on eBay, hoping to at least recoup the costs it took me to get it. I do love the mechs, but my place is small and I can't display anything. All the 1/7 figs, TFs, & Model Kits I have are all in boxes, kinda deflates my excitement whenever I get something too.
I can relate. Whenever I am on the verge at pulling the trigger on that Metal Build GN Arms, I am reminded that I actually have no space to display it. If I do get it, I just know it will be sitting in its shipping box in the corner somewhere for who knows how long before I eventually sell it off. Went through this before with my Hot Toys collection I eventually sold off last year due to space issues at home.
Change! Getter Robo Armageddon Metal Build Dragon Scale Shin Getter 1 Price: 33,000 JPY (Taxes Included) Release Date: Jun 2023 Preorders start Feb 2, 2023 JST
boy I have the original/black edition sentinel one, metallic threezero one, CSS black incoming, but nothing can stop me from buying this, really like the way bandai did the wings here
Wasn't a fan of how the sample looked when they showed it off last year, but wow it looks so much better here. Really like the transforming tomahawk/scythe and it's cool that they tried incorporating design elements from each individual get machine.
Wondered what the difference was...Thought it was just the spikey look that Guren had. Iron Saga made me like the Getter's more than I did a decade ago
Now, if only Bandai had the balls and gumption to release Metal Build versions of Shin Getter 2 and 3. That along with Sentinel making Riobot versions of Getter Devolution 2 and 3 would be a sign of a higher power.
No led, no articulated hands, weapons look small. Good visual fidelity and extra Getter Beam from the head
I initially didn't like the teaser images, but now .... I sold my ThreeZero Shin Getter and currently own the CCS Shin Getter, but there are certain things I prefer from this Metal Build. I love the wings, as they look more dignified and polished than the simple ThreeZero wings, and I prefer its technical design over CCS's more organic wings (which kinda turn me off to be honest so I don't even pose them on my figure). I also prefer the nicer paint in the transparent turquoise areas, as I hardly ever use the LED function in my CCS figures - while CCS implemented the LED function in Shin Getter much better than the stupid always-on touch sensor of Mazinger Zero, it's still a hassle to use unless designers implement some kind of remote control functionality Other than that, the CCS one still is wonderful, but I'm now more tempted than expected. I don't have any nostalgia for Shin Getter so it'd be difficult to justify having two of the same inspiration ... decisions, decisions (Though Bandai will price this twice as high as CCS...)
Anyone ever bought the Metal Kingdom Perfect Strike KO? I have an original Strike metal build but the elbow joints are starting to loosen. Wondering how the quality/fit/finish on this KO is.
Reviews seem ok: Korean but has english subtitles I'm trying to rid myself of KOs as long as I can get the Bandai version for reasonable prices. I got the McShow 1/72 Destiny and it's pretty great, but I like the MB version much better... not even sure if it's worth trying to sell it since it's so big, haha. The MK Strike KO's seem good for the price, though I'm unsure if they'll stand the test of time, seems like they have minor paint and tolerance issues for accessories/joints, and QC is going to be very YMMV.
