Looks amazing. i don’t know much about Gundam. What is this one called?
That's the Nu Gundam, specifically the recent 1/60 scale "Metal Structure" version. Not for the faint of heart, it cost ~$1000 USD initially, with an extra $400 USD required to buy its separately sold weapon kit. And considering that pre-orders sold out in just a few days, it may be difficult to find it for the original MSRP.
Similarly to what TJDetweiler13 showed.
Just what I was looking for.
In hand, those parts look line one solid piece.
I got my second half of the Sazabi along with the Poison Toys Kampfer yesterday, and I'm glad I opened the Sazabi first. If I had opened the Kampfer first, I probably would have thought the Sazabi was dogshit garbage because of the comparison, wheras in fact it's still quite a nice toy, just a bit looser and fiddlier than I would like. All of the opening panels are very neat and obviously a big part of the appeal, but it does mean that the metal content is pretty low as a result, and there's a lot of parts that creak and bend and flex rather than feeling particularly solid. There are big chunks of steel in there to give him weight, mostly in the torso and the thighs, and he's still a very lovely figure with a ton of printed detail and great color patterning that's right in line with the look of the Real Grades and Ver Ka MGs. The biggest annoyance is that the shoulders do suffer from some looseness that keeps him from being able to hold his arm up when he's got his shield mounted - it's something that I should be able to fix with some floor polish but it's still a small disappointment.
The Kampfer on the other hand ... holy shit. It's a brick and a half and probably weighs as much as three Sazabis. It's gorgeous with the shimmery finish and every one of the thruster bells are polished steel. It's got so much metal on him he might honestly be the heaviest figure I own - he's almost difficult to hold up one handed for any period of time. All of the joints are smooth and tight and while it has less moving and opening parts than the Sazabi, what is there is very well done and doesn't compromise the feel of the figure. Poseable hands (vs. the Sazabi's fixed pose hands) are a nice touch, and the way the cockpit opens on tiny hydraulic sliders is very satisfying. Suffice it to say this guy is easily the better of the two figures.
I'm still enjoying Sazabi. The butt plate has an extra hinge that could be used to get it out of the way for kneeling poses.
1. Anyone know the size of battery fur the kampfer head?
2. The MB Sinanju has a lot of assembly errors. Out of three people I've spoken to, all three had issues with the hip skirt. Has *Anyone* gotten one where both sides are secured to the waist section?
For the battery you want Energizer 377s or 376s
TAMASHII Cyber Fes 2020 バーチャルイベント会場
Voice actor for Graham from Gundam 00 will be announcing new METAL BUILD items at Tamashii Cyber Fest.
New GFFMC will also be announced.
Preorders will go up at TamashiiWeb after the show.
Sooooo... Exia Repair IV then?
Was gonna say...
Fairly obvious expectation when they're having Graham make the announcement and they love them some Exia remolds/repaints.
After getting the Exia/R3, Exia R1/R2, Avalanche Weapons Plus Pack + Dash set, Astraea Type-F +Avalung set, Astraea Heavy Weapons set, I feel like I’m pretty Exia’ed out in my Metal Build collection...
I'm not completely out until that GN arms gets made.
Happy for the guys who are looking forward to the new 00 MBs - I'm looking forward to the additional strike packs - I have Red frame PO'ed but I have let it go to a mate saving up for the fin funnels for Metal Structure, lol
With all the Strike Packs coming out, how many of y'all are buying extra Strike Gundams now? I'm hoping to rig up a way to make my MB Aile Strike to be the Perfect Strike.
For me bud 1x only - 1x is enough for me and yes, I'm hoping we can do perfect strike
Oh, looking forward to the reveal of MB 2.0 Freedom, I never had the original to complete Kira's suits
Well, the Energizer 377s are definitely to small for the kampfer head. I haven't opened up the Sinanju yet to check battery size. Fingers crossed it uses 377s
Anyone know the battery size for the poison toys Kampfer head?
I literally bought 377's and put them in my Kampfer's head. I know for a fact that they fit.
I'll try again
How hard did you have to jam them in?
Separate names with a comma.
