That being said, it’s also about half the price of flame toys offerings and closer to MP Scale.
Right well that’s fair.
The Fact there's no Ladder Gun is kinda dumb. Sorry, but it's true.
That Railgun thing clearly looks like it doesn't belong with the rest of it. Same with the ugly Sword. The sword looks like a FlameToys Star Saber KO to me. That Gun/Rifle is also wrong.
To each their own I guess.
Did anyone see that Banana Force announced they were going to drop the price to $170? I asked when this information was going to get communicated to the retailers because it definitely looks like that hasn't happened yet.
Awesome! I'm actually really excited to have this guy. I don't have a huge connection with 2001 RID so it will be nice to have a cool piece that represents Transformers/Optimus from that era in my collection.
That is a good sign but it should still be lower thought.
A correct comparison with this isn't Flame Toys (those are overengineered and also add the license to the cost), it's other high end 3P action figures. Like this 3P Voltron:
Big, light up gimmicks on all the lions, good articulation without crazy moving armor pieces, tons of diecast and premium paintjob. ShoeZ has it for 138$ shipped.
The Tungmung stuff ran similarly before being shut down by Bandai.
Looking really good!
Man. This guy must be right around the corner! Nice photo @Kuma Style
No. Planned release is mid to late November.
How is the quality in comparison to flames toy?
Looks really cool. Thanks for the pics. This turned out great. Hopefully the QC is good too. November is right around the corner. I was just thinking last night how many companies are doing non transformable Transformers. I think there are like 4 (official) now? Super 7, 3A, Mondo, Toys Alliance was and there is the new 24" Prime that was on this website yesterday. Flame Toys also, forgot that, so 5 official. I miss Toys Alliance stuff, just the right size of big.
I can confirm that the above 3P Voltron is an amazing piece for the price. I don't even mind that the lions can't detach.
I like it! I ejnoy having a really nice representation of Prime from different eras paired with their voyager or deluxe counterpart on display next to them.
I already have the titanium series fire convoy in truck mode on display with an empty space for this guy to stand next to him. So for display purposes I’m not too picky if it transforms or not but always have the option to have a version of the figure that I can pick up and mess with.
love the sculpted detail on this. Wish we could get fully transformable stuff with this kind of aesthetic.
Pretty sweet metal build inspired RID Prime. RID was one of my favorite Primes as a kid growing and this is a pretty neat take on him. It would have been to get an optional ladder cannon as well as a more TV accurate armored head as the head he has now while cool is the Omega Prime head and not the regular armored head from the show....which is a little odd.
