Some of my favorite figures were OSKO's; but an OSKO is worthless without improvements.

I think I've mentioned this on another thread. This figure sell well in poor countries such as Mexico. I'm from a small town and parents won't have the money import or pay for the authentic bee. This makes great gift or holiday item.

    They look Hot Wheels-esque.

Baiwei makes some good improvements to SS figures...only to then OSKO a SS Bumblebee that no one asked for and looks bad. I'd rather they focus on the former.

Agreed. It's weird what Baiwei does. MHZ's OSKO of 102 was great. Baiwei did it 1 better in the regular SS size class with even more improvements. But now they OS this with just new wheels. I don't get it.

I'm so glad I wasn't alone with how weird of a choice this is. I mean there is a crowd for OS movie toys. I'm not, would've preferred a regular sized bed with some upgrades but...

I mean, the head and arms are big improvements over the original. Same with the weapons. The wheels would also be improvements if the rims didn't look so stupid. Everything else looks about the same aside from the better paint and the weirdly simplified headlights.

With some mods and paint, its a decent stand in for an mpm sized rotb bee

Pretty nice. I don't have anything he'd scale with, but he's cheap enough that I'd gladly grab him for my Bumblebee shelf.

Got my copy in today. For the price, he's very nice. Retains the chunky appeal of the original, which translates well to the new size. The car mode is big, about '07 movie Voyager sized.

They added rubber tires, wrist swivels, chrome rims, and screws to hold the wheels. All of that to the good. What I don't like is the hollow areas they left in the arms and thighs. They also appear to have resculpted quite lot of the figure, sharpening up the detail presumably to hold up better at a larger size. I appreciate the thought, but in so doing they squared off all the curves around the Camaro front bumper and headlights, which really stands out in robot mode. It's obscured by the bullbar in alt mode so not as bad there; nevertheless, it makes the robot mode seem KO-ish. They killed a lot of the subtleties in the sculpt.

There also doesn't appear to be any way to store the accessories in alt mode any more. The attachment points are still there, but the sculpt changes mean they don't work. Feels like BaiWei didn't know (or didn't care) what those details were for, so changed them without regard to function.
