well...I think that sales were slow initially and demand was low. Now as time passed and people became exposed to the mold...the toy began to sell. but still...you couple less that stellar sales and BC's disappearance....you get a low probability of a G2 repaint.

 

And he’s one of the popular ones. Stuff like Deep Cover or Clampdown? Slim chance.

 

I don't know why exactly but Bad Cube was one of my favorites. Sure they could have a really wild (hard) transformation but it always WORKED. It went to a solid bot to a solid alt mode and you never had to mod it or do anything stupid. Other than their very first Huffer it always worked and looked good.

Didn't they decide to go for their ugly ass new line "Natures," that Huffer was dog shit ugly.

 

Badcube (much like DX9) is terrible when it comes to direct to end customer after sales support. Like, DX9 they rarely respond to emails. That's one part of their business that is sorely in need of improvement. That and making better quality minibots. With 3P competitors like FT giving us minibots with good quality plastic and rubber tires, BC needs to step up in that area also.

 

Yeah that was one of the few of theirs I never got. I mean, I just don't have attachment to "Capt Huffy" or whatever. I think it was a gamble that didn't pay off. It's a cool bot but there are millions of cool bots out there. I gotta feel something for the character or it's just...meh.

I'm a little late to the party but I finally picked one up recently and I am super impressed. I didn't think I would since I already have their Red Alert but these guys are so different. I also got MP Clampdown so that I can retire my MP Sideswipe.

 

I mean I liked it. And that Warpath looked really cool. Just a shame it didn’t work out.

 

Huffy's a great figure... aside from that name.

 

V2 Huff's alt mode looks and feels it came from a Happy Meal.

 

Forget about the paint for a moment, v1 Huff is rad. I got a good one with no issues, somehow.

 

My paint isn't great, but it's not a total mess...yet, at least. I still think v1 Huff is one of their best designs. Sure, the execution should have been better, but aesthetically, both modes fit the bill and the transformation was straight forward. If only the manufacturing process matched their follow-up releases, then I'd probably say was their best product to date.

 

I like Steamroll but the 'holes' in the knees are stopping me buying.

Are they noticeably in person? I wonder if anyone designed fillers?
