I mean the transformation for me is everything, how can Takara lambos be compared here? Takara nailed sideswipe, not sunstreaker. Am I missing something?

 

All Masterpiece Sideswipe needs is a new face, really.

I would also be REALLY interested in some MP Omnibots (especially Overdrive).

 

I'm pretty excited to finally get their Sunstreaker but no way I'm going to buy another Sideswipe. Not because I don't think the MP could be improved, but because there are so many other figures still to come. It's not yet the time to replace already good figures. 3P companies should focus on the remaining characters that do not have an MP version yet!

This is my most anticipated item right now, along with Omni's version. I need these.

 

Shit no, I'm perfectly happy with my TT Sideswipe. I'll not be worrying about a new one. I will however unless TT announces one have to pick up Surge as a later run or something, way too much over the next few months coming, and I just paid for TT Defensor.

I'm whatever about Die Cast, to me it's a bonus, not a necessity, modern Polyamide Plastic is very durable and gives strength without having to feel heavy, heft is not a sign of quality to me, it's simply added weight.

Rubber wheels are cool and more realistic, but I'm OK with Plastic. At least they don't look like the Plastic wheels later G1 Magni came with vs the original Wheels, TT has been doing spot on rims, the tires are whatever.

As much as I like sports cars, I could never buy the MPs due to their terrible paint matching across adjacent panels in the car mode of the various Lambor models. =\

If BC's looks good, I might be interested in finally adding an MP-scale Lambor to my collection.

I really hope it's just a red Sunsurge because a new Sideswipe would have been a real waste of time IMO. I wouldn't mind 3PCs announcing their renditions of some of the already existing MPs (a Prime with shorter arms and less pointy feet, a KO Smokescreen with remolded not partsforming cannons, a correctly scaled Magnus, a Tracks more in line with the blocky/stocky look of the other carbots or a new and good looking Ironhide/Ratchet mold) but Sideswipe? Nope the official looks about perfect to me.

 

Sideswipe would be a silly release imo. Stick to characters not released.

 

They can't be stupid enough to waste time on a Sideswipe. That's $$$, energy, and production resources spent on what couldn't be much better, if at all, a character everyone already has.

Red repaint makes too much sense, if there's a repaint.

 

TT Sideswipe are all good except those doors panel lines. Make Jazz instead please.

I can't believe they would seriously consider Sideswipe. The official version is pretty... definitive, no? Plus Sunsurge matches beautifully with MP-12 already.
