So Captian Huffy has been released, whats next?

 

If Huffy did well enough:
T-Red, a Warpath reverse tech "clone" that turns into a quadruped tank, that's secretly an homage to Gobots Treds.
Look a couple pages back and you'll see the prototype.

I'll be looking to get T-Red, as I'm a sucker for tanks, and this one has four legs  

 

I hope Huffy did well, I will cry if I can't get Other world Sunsurge, Grump and slick.

 

I hope so too. Got mine and I'm happy with him. And really happy he's compatible with MP-10's trailer; Archenemy's tanker almost pairs great with him. He's too short for the standing turret (kinda funny to see actually), and, of course, you gotta futz his quasi-mp grip around the FH handles.

I will say he feels a bit light for the asking price. The construction is superb, but I wish I could collapse his back box more; and almost all the interesting transforming bits are in the calves down. Curse of the Huff lineage + I'll bet they're putting way more into T-Red.

The Captain was both the most logical and not the most impressive choice to start the line. But real fun if you give him a chance. And hey, I got the trailer for him and the sticker set too chrome out the tanker on a rainy day. Anything that could get me to pick up a companion piece and upgrade must be doing something right.

 

I also hope there doing a funpub gobots color scheme because a blue cosmos and red beachcomber would be awesome.

 

Also an orange gears.

 

Looking at all the concept art I see a ton of potential in this new line & I'm excited. As a lot of people said this is bold & I see it not so much as a gobots homage or even original line. With the optimus & megs designs I see it more as an else worlds type of thing an alternate universe. Enough is there to be an interesting line to check out for different designs, especially as not too many characters are left for mp collectors ( still a few yes but not a ton). Also huge potential for bolstering current ranks with new characters & customizers to have some fun with I see this as a unique & honestly welcome addition to the 3rd party pool. I'm in for cap huffy, he'll make a fine decepticon with a few tweaks  

 

I got the Captain Huffy, it's is a fun toy with very affordable price, totally worth it. I wish this line will keep growing.

 

Have we heard anything from badcube? its been a bit.

 

No, nothing recently, after the reveal of second character. Since captain Huffy's on going price is from $65 drop to around $55 on ebay, so future might not be so bright.

It'd be a shame if this line was dead. There were a lot of neat concepts going on here. But I guess if the market's not big enough...

I wonder if they started with more traditional designs before going so off the wall. Like that Sunstreaker...

Just wondering if BC started with something more traditional like this, they'd generate enough interest in the line to fund some of the weirder things in Natures.

 

The toy itself is great, but I don't think a lot people would buy into that by just looking at the images. Even myself, I picked it up only after price dropped + ebay flash sale, otherwise I don't think I would want to spend $60 + for it. But after I had it in hand, I felt it's a good toy well worth the asking price.

So in a way, we can say this toy is a failure at least in advertisement of this line.

This, I am totally for non G1, new charachter transformers. But the deco they went for in bot mode is not appealing to me. I'll probably get the spider tank, cause I like it so much, but it could use a better color. Its like they are shooting their own line in the foot.

 

Agreed, Huffy is a good figure with a terrible name.

 

I just call him The Captain. He doesn't let others know his given name.

 

Oh dope. I thought you were talking about people in that big wall spread. That would be cool to have. But in a neat deco like spinout or something.
