Gears is my absolute lowest-by-a-mile S1&2 priority but I'm interested in how this will turn out. XTB has kind of swayed me back into their minibot camp with Beachcomber and Windcharger.

Very happy to see Badcube are doing Gears, how they approach the alt mode will be intesting as both the toy and animation models were about as generic as could be.

Wonder how the alt mode is going to be too. The toy was never based on a real vehicle so there really is no reference to work on.

The funny thing about this is I am sure Arin Hanson will get this cause he collects transformers anyway hahaha.

Another good thing you can say about badcube is their official illustration almost always looks just like the figure produced. If he looks anything like that picture i'll be very pleased.

Awesome! Can't wait. I wish they would been the ones that did Windcharger.

Not a character I'm particularly interested in but I think one that would definitely benefit from BC's rather squat proportions/aesthetics.

    I'll be watching this....

Glad they're going back to Minibots!

Also looking forward if they can work their mass shifting magic to get a truck mode somewhat scaled to the cars

I'm sure Badcube's Swerve won't be far behind. I thought they were doing Huff 2.0 and Pipes next.

I hope not...that'll pretty much guarantee the transformation is no fun...aka explodes into a floppy, hinged mess and then gets put back together. Just make it match Huff, minus the shitty paint and mediocre build quality.

Gears would be sweet. The Igear one is "OK" but ever since I got Brawny to replace Hench, Cogz looks like utter shit.

    Very happy with this news.
I just hope is a simpler transformation design than Sunsurge.

This is great news! Back to Minibots for Badcube.
Hopefully they'll do a 2-pack with Swerve and some extras, just like they did with Brawny and Backland. Regardless, it's an insta-buy for me!
Do Pipes and Cliffjumper next please!

Sounds good to me. Another figure closer to being done with the 84 line-up, and another figure closer to me being done!

Great! If it looks more or less like the concept art, I'm in. I could never get past Brawny and Backland's legs, so I skipped those... but this Gears looks terrific.

Not sure what aspect of their legs turned you off, but I do feel they look much better in-hand. I always thought they looked really stumpy in all the images I saw online, but on my shelf they look great.

I hope this tries to make the alt mode look like a realistic vehicle, or at least based off a realistic vehicle.

While entirely unlikely, I'd like him to look like a Canadian Military Pattern Truck.

Not to say that it's an exact match, but for some reason it looks like the kind of thing Gears would turn into. Granted, your millage might vary.

    (PS - For Seaspray, I'd like to have a Twin-Prop SRN6.)

well if they go the brawny route, his alt mode will be a mashup of a few different vehicles from the era. but with gears color pallet i doubt its going to be a military vehicle.

Im going to guess its going to be highly inspired by a chevy or toyota 4x4(1984 pickup that is heavily customized(lift kit custom bumper and truck bed accessories)

    much like this
