Bad toys you got just because you liked the character in fiction.

Which characters sold you on buying their toy even though you know or suspected it would be a bad toy?

For me, it was Carnivac. I wouldn't say he has a bad toy for 1988, but it was underwhelming.

I loved his characterisation in the Marvel U.K. comics during tne eighties so I had to get him.

07 Scout Warpath. It was a fricking Jeep, but still, it was red and the closest thing we got to an update of Warpath be then, so I had to buy one, even though I knew I hated the mold.

Wing Saber, because it was the closest thing to a Star Saber update we were going to get. It's such a brick, but it's a really great homage.

Sky-Byte. I'd honestly wanted the Cybershark mold for years, but the kibble goodness kept me from pulling the trigger. But the greatest shark around? Different story entirely.
