Apparently, Cruise 'asked' Paramount not to show it in the U.K and they capitulated. ..beyond that, I can't say.
No more Chef? Damn. That killed a part of South Park. And I knew this had to do with that dumb scientology episode. That was the most pointless ep IMO.
I still like south park and have enormous respect for Parker and Stone cos they attack every one, and well if you can’t be nice to every one being horrible to every one is the next best thing. Hayes has just made him self look like a total hypercritic and some thing of a fool. It’s sad to see Chef’s character go but really the show has been with out him for some time now and I don’t think he’ll be missed. Didn’t they say a while ago that they would consider getting Michael Jackson on cast? Am I the only one thinking Chef’s weird little brother as a role for him now?
With their reputation... I'd imagine him to be very unlikely to do such a thing. After the 'Mr Jefferson' episode I severly doubt it.
Unfortunate this news may be, Parker and Stone aren't exactly the most tolerant of individuals anyway. - Virgin Mary Defiled On "South Park" - Vile "South Park" Episode Pulled Don't get me wrong, South Park is hilarious at times with it's humor, but sometimes it just crosses.
dunno south park is amazing, I respect the ideas depicted on it , and granted makes fun of so many things. and granted many people can and will be offended. also[sarcasm] YAY for double standars[/Sarcasm]
Moses is at least a central figure to Jewish belief, and SP, in a very, very odd way, confirmed his relevance, though the way it was done makes it impossible to take seriously. It most certainly wasn't portrayed as a criticism of Judaism. Now, had SP said that Abraham, David or Moses cooked up this whole Jewish thing as a scam to make money...
Having seen this kind of thing happen to a former friend of mine in a different way. There's really not much more to say on the matter.
The mail order porno store takes 10% of my wages in return for fulfillment, does that count as religion as well?
That would explain the gospel being so crap then, "Harder! Harder! Harder! Yes!" and "No, not the dog!" isn't exactly great compared to the Bible or Torah.
I also noticed that the Scientology ep was listed as being on last night (At least that's the ep I saw on the guide channel) but instead CN showed the film festival ep...did CN cave as well or was it a bad listing on Direct TV's guide? And I'd love to hear what they said on Letterman as well.
Yeah, I was looking foward to watching that ep again. Both episodes that were listed on the guide last night didn't run. I thought maybe playing Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls was sort of a tribute or something.
Some people don't seem to realise that South Park is intended to be offensive. They never mince words, just say everything as they see it. By bringing the crazy shit out into the open, they make people think of things that they would otehrwise push out of the way, like dogma.
