Age of Ultron is already a by far better crafted film than Age of Extinction.
Let's wait for the actual film to release, then compare the two villains. Ultron's gonna be great, but Lockdown was too. And he had tons of personality, thank you.
The way studios try to get all they can out of a franchise I'm not shocked at all that they would go for a Minion Movie. Plus with all the Minion merchandise on the market someone must be thinking people can't get enough of the little yellow guys. Clothing, toys, games, building blocks, about the only place I haven't seen the Minions plastered on is toilet paper.
If you're gonna go there, Iron Man 3 pretty much just stole the plot from the Incredibles
They aren't ships. They're creatures called leviathans, just with armor on.
That's true. Marvel movies do usually stay somewhat true to the established classic characters, while the TF movies... well they don't at all.
Go where? Saying AoU didn't rip off AoE?
And that's really just bullshit anyway. I remember seeing that HiSHE and thinking "That's really stupid. Any movie about a villain who was once pathetic and turned evil by the hero's scorn is an Incredibles ripoff? What?"
Josh whedon himself said he enjoyed some of the transformers movies and based a few ideas for the first avengers movie off them, that being said AoU is by all means not at all like AOE, Its going to be a better movie, we already know that. Also basing an idea off of something and making it better is by all means fine in my book.
He said that their big set piece finale was trying to one up Transformers, not that the movie was in any way seriously inspired by it.
What established classic characters could there be in a toy-based franchise that has had 30 years and 7 series of varied characters?
Marvel and TF are different animals.
One is a comic series, the other is a toy/cartoon series.
One is spread across various locations of a universe, the other can't do that.
One can afford to be fun and light-hearted with changes, the other can not.
Granted, TF could do with better writers...
But on the whole I can't really say Transformers and MCU are similar enough to merit comparison. If anything, both have more in common with STAR WARS and ONE PIECE.
Wait so people are saying transformer movies > mcu?
shots fired!!!!! I repeat shots fired!!!
Is this statement purely to imply the imply the fact that you hate the movies. Because with all you say, I'm getting the impression.
Come on. It's pretty clear that Ultron is going to outclass every single Transformers villain by virtue of being a freaking character instead of just an overhyped obstacle.
Galvatron 2 why do you even come to the movie thread, im not trying to be harsh or anything but clearly you HATE the movies and all you do is sit in this thread and trash it, I mean Lockdown was the best movie villain of the franchise(thats not saying a lot) but he literally was what we wanted and here you are dumping crap on everything
Ahhh, so the one who would laugh and couldn't wait for people comparing AOE to AOU is now comparing Lockdown to Ultron.
Lockdown is great, if you watched the movie you might have seen that he hated Earth, hated humans, stayed true to his words, was sarcastic and had his own views.
What's that? character?
Movie Megatron/Galvatron is a better villian than the MCU movie villians combine.
Separate names with a comma.
