The time travel in this movie as far as science goes, deals with legit things, like the Grandfather paradox, butterfly effect etc. I think the time travel in Endgame is closer to the Looper style than say BTTF

What I love this movie is how unabashedly comic-like it was.
a time heist, a final battle involving aliens, superheroes, an army of norse gods, an army of sorcerers, giant alien warships, etc....

This is not a movie that could have happened ten yesrs ago. Hell, I don't think you could have had this a couple years ago. Superhero films used to obsess over being grounded and to tell largely self-contained stories (# of villains that die at the end).

Marvel had to condition the audience ro accept increasingly outlandish situations and characters to create an environment where THIS film could exist.... and that's awesome

    I'm kinda glad it happened.
Several months ago I saw a theory about... this... and I'll be darned if the theory didn't pan out pretty close to what actually happened. I almost feel spoiled.

    Nebula was awesome.
Karen Gillan knocked it out of the park.

As soon as his daughter was shown I knew he was going to die. Good call on predicting that as early as you did.

I'm in it for the Nebula solo movie now!
She was my unexpected favorite. Here character arc has been so fun.

I don't know if she'd work in her own movie, but I absolutely agree that it has been a real pleasure watching her in these movies.

As far as the movie, will be back to watch in the Dolby Theater next week. And from a decent seat that isn’t in the 2nd row.

Oh yeah, there was so much excitement in the theater, some guy had a seizure. I think he ended up ok but the paramedics had to come take him and we got a potty break at the perfect time.

Just got back from seeing the movie. Gosh, I don’t know...I didn’t like how time travel was the big McGuffin to fix everything done in Infinity War. I also don’t really like what Marvel has done to THOR, but sadly maybe the masses rather would have joke Thor than the one from the comics. I still dont really like Captain Marvel, I think she was miscast. Not sure if she will get any better.

I think they pulled it off okay though, but for this movie to mean anything thing I really hope this is the last Avengers movie. With no Cap or Ironman, and Thor and Hulk being vastly changed, I’m not sure my interest is there.

Final battle was epic though, reason enough to see it just for that.

    Questions:
So what happened to Thor’s hammer when Cap took it back in time? Also is Sharon Carter now the daughter of Captain America, who he was making out with in earlier movies? Which Gamora is out there? The one that time traveled or the one that died from the Soul Stone? Did Tony kill the time travel Gamora with his snap? Who was that older kid with Hawkeye at the end?

So did anybody else catch when...

...after Tony did the snap and the camera focused on Thanos as his forces dusted all around him, that way in the background(behind his left shoulder), you can see Proxima and Corvus embracing as they dusted. We all knew anyway they were a couple, same as their comic counterparts, but I thought that was a nice touch.

I think Cap took the hammer back to Asgard with the time-displaced aether. Gamora is the alternate one (she didn't recognise Star Lord and confirmed with Nebula he was really the guy she'd described). If you mean the older kid standing almost by himself during the funeral pan, I looked him up - he's the kid that helped Tony in IM3 :)

I also noticed Ebony Maw reacting the same way Spider-Man reacted when his spider senses felt he was getting dusted.

I find it hilarious that people are actually upset about the women team up. Are y’all serious? It’s a bunch of heroes assisting Peter. It’s just a grander version of Wanda, Okoye, and Widow against Proxima Midnight. The idea that Marvel is turning into some SJW fest is fucking stupid. There is NOTHING wrong with seeing that group shot. If you think that’s a problem, you should reevaluate why you feel that way.

The rumor about them cutting Brie is laughable. She has no point to be on Earth those 5 years when there are other planets without Avengers type groups, she said so herself in the beginning. She came back when they desperately needed her, end of story. Some people are so eager to hate on Brie Larson that they’re just grasping at straws for ANYTHING to criticize.

Also, Thor being fat is indeed a bold choice, but it makes sense. He failed and half the ENTIRE universe perished. Do you know the amount of guilt that’d do to someone? Also, his arch feels incomplete becuase it’s not finished yet. Clearly he’s still on his journey to find who he wants to be, not who he’s supposed to be.
