Say for example the Autobots are defeated by the Decepticons. And no more Autobots to stop the Decepticons, you think the Avengers and Marvel's forces can stop and defeat the Decepticons? I know it's not gonna happen but let's say it happened. Thanks
Unless Earth Techonology in weaponary reached that of Cybertron, it would be a short battle without Autobots. Decepticons would taken over Earth by their sheer numbers.
Pretty much. We had a similar topic a few weeks ago, but that one was about which mecha brand would step in to stop the Decepticons. But I'll repeat what I said in that thread - in the event of a total Decepticon victory, the most likely means of defeating the Decepticons would be renegade Decepticons that no longer follow Megatron (or whoever) for various reasons.
I dunno, Spider-man was able to make a pretty good show of himself, and the Neo-knights were able to hold their own. At least confining ourselves to the Marvel Universe(s) of the 1980s-early 90s, I think if they went all-out and sent the entirety of all the Avengers teams (West, East, and Great Lakes), the Avengers might be able to come out on top. If not, they could call in the reserve Avengers. If not then, they could call in the other superhero teams like the X-men, Defenders, Fantastic Four, etc. etc. And if even THAT failed, and things turned into an all-or-nothing fight for survival between the multitude of heroes (and likely, villains) of earth and the Decepticons, I think the 'cons would have a tough time, given some of the cosmic-level heavy hitters they could find themselves going up against.
Cool thread. I think you would have to distinguish if its like G1 marvel era...or Bay movie. If it were the bay movie scenario, I think between humans and the avengers..they would have a serious chance at stopping decepticons. If the decepticons are from virtually any other continuity....they win.
Yeah, it really depends on what "universe" it's taking place in. Which Marvel universe, which Transformers universe, etc.. For example, in the movieverse, the human military would be able to spank the 'Cons no problem. But seriously, and it also depends on lots of "ifs, ands, or buts". Which characters exactly, their power levels, if it was "to-the-death", and whatnot. The MCU Avengers could probably hold their own for a while, and the Hulk would probably take up quite the 'Con body count, but after a while, I think the 'Cons would win. Hawkeye would probably only get a few arrows out before Starscream levels the building that he's perched on. Black Widow wouldn't last 4 seconds before Megatron blew up the entire city block she's on. Iron Man holds his own against Skywarp for a while, but it's mostly just trying to stay away from Skywarp and a dozen other flying Decepticons, rather than taking an offensive. Captain American can only do so much before Shockwave backhands him and breaks every bone in his super-soldier body. Thor fries a few Decepticons, manages to knock some out with Mjolinr, and could probably match some Decepticons in a physical fight. So the MCU Avengers are pretty much defeated, with only Hulk and Thor surviving. The human military is helpful, but similarly outmatched and defeated. Now, if you throw in the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and the typical roster for the Avengers, they stand a way better chance.
Well, most Marvel Earths are more than capable of taking on the Movieverse Decepticons. Other universes it gets a little trickier. Could you specify a Transformers universe the heroes would be dealing with?
Pre-Crisis Superman would probably ruin up the entire Decepticon army singlehandedly. Dude's powerset was just plain unfair.
As much as I like Superman, I can't argue with that. Overpowered doesn't even come close to describing his abilities. Off the scale strength, speed just a hair slower than Flash, invulnerable to almost everything... Kal-El would have had the 'Cons decommissioned and ready to be cut up into razor blades before they figured out a weakness for him.
Yeah, jeepers, Superman? Pssh. Take all Decepticons from all continuities and they still don't stand a chance. Save for them having Kryptonite flowing through their veins instead of energon*, they should just lay down and die now. His laser vision slices up everyone, his physical strength punches holes through them, he throws them across cities, flattens them with buildings, crushes their hands with his grip. *Actually, that's not a bad idea; the Decepticons discovering that Kryptonite is Superman's weakness and using the Decepticon doctors to inject themselves with Kryptonite and it mixes with their energon.
Honestly, at a lot of times during the Silver Age it seemed like Superman was just punking everybody about Kryptonite being a weakness. It only seemed to really have much of an effect on him when he felt like it (or more specifically, when the writers felt like it). And given all the stories about weird pranks and "lessons" that Superman pulled on others, it'd make sense.
what you guys haven't read the idw avengers/transformers comic crossover or all hail megatron for a all autobots are gone scenario? well don't, just don't, I still get flashbacks and fever sweats.
Silver Age sure was wacky, and not just for Superman and DC, but for most comics. Wasn't the Silver Age when Jubilee lost her powers and became a vampire for some reason? Anyway, on topic, we still need to confirm which Decepticons from which universe we're talking about here. Unless this is a scenario where all Decepticons from all known universes are present...
As far as the movie verses go? I think it would be close. Iron Man vs Starscream would be the fight of my dreams, given their skill at taking down F-22's. I could see Barricade fighting the Black Widow, I imagine she could run away from him and maybe get away with it, but I can't see her doing damage unless someone else helped out. Captain America would probably fight Megatron or Soundwave, the latter of which he could beat. Thor could hold his own against the cons, and the Hulk should have no problem killing them all though.
Or maybe ol' Shockwave will figure out in time that whole "yellow sun radiation" bit and come up with an appropriate countermeasure. Or perhaps the Nemesis passes by Apokolips enroute to Earth...Darkseid and Megatron team up? Now THAT could be interesting...
