did anyone else find some of the autoboot voices a bit unfitting for their characters? granted most were one liners, but steve blum does not strike me as wheeljack. the most off putting to me though was the deeper, younger and more generic voice for ratchet, that sounds indistinguishable from that of brawns a few seconds later. can any one argue that ratchet is fundamentally the older bot and though I loved seeing him on the front lines, the odd voice took me out of it like it wasn't even him. seemed more like ironhide should have been there instead. if we are only seeing these characters for a few seconds of screen time and only one line, it shouldn't bee generic sound bites but quick details that show us who everyone is and what they're like. sorry but I just feel like a more traditional voice for ratchet would have been a huge improvement.
It doesn't bother me, wouldn't mind seeing him with a younger voice tone. As much as I want Robert Foxworth back as he was VERY fitting for the role; I think Travis was going for a more "shouting" voice actor.
When I found out that Blum voiced Wheeljack it made me wish they gave Starscream some lines so he could've voiced him.
Ratchet's was too hardcore I have to agree but since it was just a line I can't complain.Wheeljack doesn't have a "it should sound like this or that" in my mind so that voice was fine.
Yeah but I don't mind it as much if he doesn't..even if he's not a scientist..won't mind that either. However with Ratchet it's another story...I prefer the old version of his character rather than a younger one.
Yeah it's certainly nit picking and a silly thing to complain about but I was really hoping for the accent
I was hoping once I saw Cliffjumper that they got The Rock to do his voice once again. While The Rock didn’t voice him for too long, he’s the voice I think of when I see Cliffjumper though.
I thought they were all fine for the half a second we got of them. All the same, I think this is one of those situations where if they wanted to use those characters in a future film, you could use different voice actors and it wouldn't be a huge problem. (I didn't even notice immediately that Sideswipe changed actors between ROTF and DOTM, for example)
We haven't saw much of Steve Blum's Wheeljack to judge him. But he is full aware of Chris Latta's legacy. Grey Griffin as Acree is a good fit cause I imagined her sounding like that whenever I read the comics. Jess Harnell as Ironhide is wired. Recently they used his voice for G1 Ironhide which doesn't fit the character. The voice is cool but unfitting.
I don't get the problem with cartoon voice actors. I feel with the Transformers having onscreen actors voice them wouldn't work cause of their (possible) lack of vocal range.
I believe it was called "Transformers: Autobot Alliance" it is something exclusive to China. Or academy. Not sure.
It wasnt the voices that bothered me so much as how unmechanically their mouths moved when speaking. It was more noticeable on Cliffjumper in his scene with Shatter and Dropkick, it just made his face seem rubbery rather than metal.
