Hey Guys, So I came to a decision. Living in the apartment is making painting too difficult/dangerous with all the fumes and such with no real solution that I feel comfortable with. With that said, I am going to still build, but wait to paint until we get the house in December. Here is the first of the two clones I am working on. This has been coated with the flat black. I am trying to stay true to the transformation of the originals, while updating and articulating them. Not happy with the ball joint elbows, and still have to replace the hands, but this gives the idea and style/shape I am going for. Something that fits in with classics. Cloudraker is next up. Enjoy
Looks like classics seeker legs being used there, and a vintage g1 body? The transformation is very G1. Turns into that strange vehicle thing, not quite sure what it was meant to be, but you've recreated it pretty faithfully. Looks good.
i love it! but i like the wheels on the back better than the front set, i think those are from universe inferno. anyway, awesome job, whose head is that?
Yup, Acid Storm Legs, Vintage Body. You got it. Its some sort of futuristic race car, same as the original, just spiced up a bit!
hey RageD, Im having the same painting issues in my apartment but I just found out about this spray booth. Model Expo - COMPACT SPRAY BOOTH It gets pretty good reviews from the scale modeling site I go to. Armorama :: Tool Review: Portable Spray Booth by Matthew Toms Its on the cheaper side too. Mine should be here some time next week. Ill let you know how I like it.
Awesome, Thanks! If it works that would be great!. I always just worry about Fumes and such in such a small space as this apartment, especially with a wife and multiple pets running around.
? Changed the elbows to universe smokescreen elbows and forearms, allows for a better look and easier alt mode transformation. Will post pics when complete.
