Well, it's not the worst or dumbest thing that's been trending on Twitter during the last few months, that's or sure.

I've seen lots of people come out of trucks, and I've yet to see a SINGLE person come out of an ape!

Just some food for thought.

I think that slash just applies to homosexual shipping (I don't know if it encompasses lesbian shipping or if the old term femslash still applies). But I do remember reading a parody of the crazed original female character concept that had Optimus bewildered, confused, and somewhat horrified by the situation.

Seriously, though, regarding the meaning of "slashfic," etc.: OK, whatever, I was joking. I don't actually read any of that fanfic-type shit of any variety.

I didn't think you read the crap - and let's be real here, there's fanfic, then there's crap fanfic, and for most people, slash (especially if it isn't supported by the canon the way that Chromedome and Rewind were) is gonna be crap.

 

Yes, slash means m/m and femslash is still the current term for f/f ships.

Oh, I used to read a lot of fanfictions resp. fan comics back then (just no slash or femslash, it's not my "thing") and I have to say, there were some really good Tf writers and Tf stories. And I think they did a fantastic job in terms of characterisations and -arcs, stories etc. Some were so good that I have often wished that their authors would have been hired as writers for Transformers comics. Thats why I think they shouldn't be lumped all together and condemned.

Today, however, I hardly read any fanfictions or fan comics anymore. I hardly find any stories that I like and that are worth reading. A pity really.

Finding good fic, especially good fic that doesn't delve into slash or femslash, is like finding a diamond in a pig trough, and lately, there ain't no diamonds to be had.

True, it's so hard finding a good, entertaining read, that has actual plot and that isn't just about sex between characters (and a lot of times it's with an OC). However, there are still one or the other of the old Tf fanfiction writers from back then and every now and then they even upload new chapters or even a new story. Unfortunately, far too rarely and often with long intervals. But when this happens then I am super happy as if it were Christmas...

And as for the Transformers fan comics ... A few days ago I remembered one of my old favorite Tf comics, looked for it, found and read it again...Man, it's been a quite while since I was so captivated and amused by a Transformers comic (except maybe the first two Transformers Galaxies stories, Transformers vs. Terminator and Transformers'84, those comics also quite enjoyable).

Just going to point out that going out of your way to be a dick to someone because you didn’t like their joke is one course of action, but there are others available to you. For example, you have the option of not responding and moving on to something you do enjoy.

I get that calling someone you’ve never met names is part of the grand tradition of online forums since the dawn of time, but did you really feel so offended by what I wrote that spitting bile at me like that seemed like the reasonable thing to do? Like, that was your best response?
