I just finished reading the Autocracy series. I gotta tell ya, I really enjoyed reading that series, the whole Zeta Prime corruption, Orion Pax's unusual deal with Megatron. Hot Rod feeling guilty about the death of his people. And I don't about you guys, but I knew from the moment Megatron and Orion Pax shaked hands that something is not right, like typical Megatron after his plans are fulfilled he takes his temporary partner out, Orion didn't see that coming at all. And yeah the whole Optimus Prime / Megatron fight, same scene just like the TF:TM 86 fight with the whole Hot Rod interference. But this time, Hot Rod knocked Megatron so Prime could take a shot at Megatron.

Now you've got to read Monstrosity, cause that takes place shortly after. And Primacy is coming out next month and will conclude this portion of the story.

I am already halfway through Monstrosity, but I don't find the story as great as Autocracy

I am at the part where Megatron took out the Junkions and he took the Quintesson as his slave. Spotlight: Shockwave, Cliffjumper, Wheelie, Hot Rod, Six Shot, Ultra Magnus, Soundwave are right after Monstrosity?

I thought the Megs/Quint stuff was easily the most interesting part of Monstrosity. Everything else was just generic and forgettable, with shameless fanwank and inserted TFTM scenes.

After Origins of Megatron, I read Spotlight Orion Pax and Spotlight Blurr, I wasn't to fond with Spotlight Blurr and after Autocracy was Spotlight Thundercracker neither I wasn't impressed with it. They both left me with some unexplained questions.

Like what ever happened after Thundercracker's and Blundgeon's departure? I am surprised Blundgeon didn't go after Thundercracker after failing to get the Metrotitan to have complete control of the Spacebridge.

Don't bloody read them in chronological order. How many times does it need saying?

It's a spotlight, such things do not play a major in the story.

Because they weren't written in that order. It becomes a nonsensical mess of plot threads that vanish for years and revelations that are spoiled way in advance.

Read them roughly in published order.

He was too blunt. But I agree with him 100%. Ive been reading since infiltration, stopped durring the ongoing, and back since mtmte and rid..... the order of publishing is the way to go.

Woah wait..I am confused, I just saw the sticky thread about the reading order, but why is Autocracy after IDW ongoing 31. Cause in the 1st reading we see the same ones as the 2nd reading order

One of those reading orders is a "quick" reading order, to get people up to speed on modern IDW. The other is a "full" one, with a couple of minor deviations from the printed chronology to suit personal preference.
