I noticed that Hasbro keeps sending out gift boxes to people with things like Evergreen Barricade on the box - as far as I know - no such toy exists, and in the Authentics toys released so far there is no Larger Starscream release and certain characters who could have got a toy didn't like Hot Rod or Soundwave for example.

So a Couple of things crossed my mind - might somewhere like Walgreens what more product (remember Cyber Batallion had a large gap before Prowl, Jetfire,Sideswipe and Shockwave were released).

Also perhaps the new Chinese exclusive line might want to use some of the Everygreen designs too judging from the promotional art.

So Is Authentics done, and if it is - should the Everygreen designs keep being used anyway to make new toys under other banners like Generations say ?

Its an ongoing line for bargain stores and drug stores. Instead of 5-6 waves a year they get 1 wave a year. We will see next year's wave at Toyfair.

I wouldn't mind more Evergreen Authentics toys. Especially if they end up being articulated like Alpha Prime, Megs & Grimlock. There's something about these designs that sorta interest me in an mold-engineering stand-point. They are janky as all get-out but there's a certain charm about them. I've discovered that Authentics Megatron (The Voyager mold) is compatible with Hero Mashers accessories. Which is sorta because i had tried some of them on megs (Conveniently they were from Hero Mashers Megs.) So i gave those to my Authentics Megatron. The weapon pods look great on his robot mode, plus he has an energon flail, which was perfect for him. It's kinda both stupid and amazing at the same time. Like. The mold has crazy articulation for a budget figure. And He was basically my first purchase in the line. Here's hoping Starscream gets the Alpha Treatment next wave, Considering how janky yet articulated his Bravo toy is.

So here's 3 important things that Authentics line should have more off.
    1. Take advantage of their hollowness. Like most of these molds would have some sort of cost-cutting techniques that won't compromise the figure, but do them in the way that would benefit the figure. This mostly applies for the Alpha/Voyager sized assortment of figures, as they are basically upscaled & altered from their smaller counterparts
    2. Keep them simple, but keep them articulated. Try making transformation schemes that are not only easy to do, but result with an articulated robot mode. Give them the essential arm, leg and ankle articulation. Find good use of those important transformation joints.
    3. More 5mm pegs and holes. That includes 5mm-screw holes, as it's beneficial for not only for saving plastic, but also have added playability. This should also include Siege Effect compatibility, especially with the Accessories the figure comes with. These figures are sorta basic, it's not that hard to give the weapon they come with some sort of 5mm hole or 3mm peg.

And here's a few new classes i think they could add for authentics.
-A Simple Weaponizer Class. Basically, make an wave of deluxe-sized weaponizer figures that use the same amount of plastic found with a Alpha-Class figure. Or at least some similar mass. Use the Evergreen designs, like Shockwave's for example. Use his design, and make him turn into his spaceship alt mode found with his cyber battalion figure. His legs, arms & waist could separate via the 5mm-peg/hole system, just like the which could turn into a series of weapons for other figures. Again. Keep these figures articulated. Use a universal waist system that's similar to the ones found in weaponizers/modulators. This part could be commonly used for most of the molds.

-Authentics Micro/Battlemasters?- Simple, small, retro-styled micromaster figures that use simplified transformations. Most being based on traditional transformations found with most micromasters. With some clearance for a 5-mm port and peg for an simplified take on siege-styled weapon mode that can work with any siege/earthrise effect part. The molds would also be gang-molded. Like for example Starscream & Megatron and/or Optimus Prime & Rodimus Prime would be gang-molded. Megatron's Transformation would be based on G1 Big Shot or Bombshock, while using design based on his Evergreen Appearance. Meanwhile Starscream is based on G1 Eagle Eye (Which comes with a 5mm compatible landing gear.) basically they would be sold like 6 dollars per pair. At first, i thought it was a bad idea, but having small figures for micromaster bases. Alternatively, The Evergreen Micromasters/Battlemasters would be gang-molded with bases akin to micromaster bases that separate to become 5mm compatible weapons for larger figures.
