Cheap fun with cheap toys! Was bored yesterday afternoon and decided to do some little "touch ups" on some "authentics" figures I had (these are the dollar store figures, for those that are wondering). Just some ideas to have some fun "sprucing up" your figures. Starscream's forearms and tail fins painted blue, torso fully painted red (only has front originally), and 2 decals on wings (instead if one). Ratchet's windows, painted blue (only had front one to begin with), continued red stripe across body, painted wheels (originally all red), bumpers, and added autobot logos. Optimus had his windows painted, hubcaps painted, smokestacks chromed, and hands painted. "Gobot" mode (Thanks Tman! ) "Little" Prime. Same as bigger Prime but added elbows by cutting arms and adding little hinge. Hinge before putty and paint. Shockwave's canopy/cockpit window painted in ship mode. Added split deception logo in ship mode (smoothed out bump underneath where logo is). Also totally different ship mode configuration than one in instructions. Megatron's gun painted black (instead of white), and shaved away a little plastic on feet to allow some inward ankle tilt.
Gobot mode is funny, Shockwave looks great, and the articulation boost on tiny Optimus is impressive.
