How does this transform more than the ER/K version and looks better at half the budget!?!

I don't mind the legs, a big hollow that gets the job done is a lot more forgivable for 5 than over 25. What keeps grabbing my attention is the forearms. Hits like a flashback to the Energon toy. Moreover, I wouldn't be mad if future Arcee's leaned into this design, they've done the pods to the best of their abilities, it's okay to integrate the car now.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the upgrade market made pop-out or hinged undercarriage panels. Or maybe one of those outfits that do the nice KOs (bet they couldn't keep her under 10)

...it doesn't though. Transformation aside, ER Arcee is a great looking toy.

I'm reminded of the revisionist history that looked at Legacy Blitzwing and decided that TR Blitzwing was always a much beloved toy.

Yeah, Earthrise looks much better (backpack aside) but this one at least has the figure transform.

I mean, 1 step of a transformation for this compared to barely half a step of a transformation from the ER version... not that big an improvement in my eyes but that's just me. :p

Good thing they called this line Authentics, because at first I was pretty sure they were poorly done KOs

I've seen ER Arcee described as an excellent action figure but a terrible Transformer, and I think that's the best way to look at it.

She was hurt most by the shift to "scale/accuracy" in WfC.

I'd struggle to say she's an 'excellent' action figure, but she's definitely a good one. Personally I think she could've been done much better if A) they weren't so addicted to accuracy, and B) she got a Voyager budget and tall Deluxe height like Hot Rod to give her better engineering to allow for alt-mode incorporation and compacting, again like you see on Hot Rod, like his legs and such.

Earthrise Arcee is not even a good action figure because she's a floppy mess and feels very cheap to boot.

Dont get me wrong I love the ER/K Arcee but this looks oddly cleaner imo.

As for Blitzwing I think both are great but I missed the TR one so grabbing Legacy

There are dollar store KOs with more effort put into them than these.....

That's kinda the point I'm making. She looks good as an action figure and a car but the transformation weakens it because of the backpack.

A similar looking figure in the RED line would likely be well received because it would have those same issues.

I also don't think she could pull off the Voyager thing they did with Hot Rod because she'd still have to he pretty small to remain "in scale." Which is the other issue that weakens her as a transformer.

HasTak also is being VERY careful about when it actually does the Hot Rod thing. So far he's the only Voyager that really leans in to it. It's certainly a tool in the tool box but they know it's risky and don't want to make a habit of it.

It's also why Arcee is the only figure really like that at the moment in Deluxe. Because they had to in order to deliver on the scale/accuracy at Deluxe and don't want to make a habit of it

This looks fun. Hollow and crappy, too! :lol

But I like it for the kids: looks easier than the current Cyberverse Arcee we have. A little more quality and I could see this being mainline, the way legion figures were a thing in the past (simpler transformations, but still high quality!).

I'll still say give this Arcee some refinement and a bigger budget, it'll make for a nice deluxe sized figure.

100% agree. I really think making the hood out of the legs does wonders for making the figure less of a shellformer and giving her much better proportions in robot mode. Can you imagine if the bulk of the shoulders were on pivots to homage her classic shoulder stacks? Just a few refinements to fold the lower legs into a more cohesive shape? It wouldn’t even take much.

Proportions aside that face kind of scares me. No idea if it's just the angles but it gives off the vibes of "hey we created a realistic humanoid robot with synthetic skin", which just makes you question what human exactly they were using as reference.

I do second the calls for testing the design in a deluxe budget. Don't want to make it Arcee, well how about Shadow Striker or Roulette, member dem I don't think Hasbro does but HEY options. In short please give us more unique female figures.

Nice! Definitely a step in the right direction by not having her a:
    -partsformer
    -shellformer
    -kibbler

Sure she's hollow, basic, and has a false Transform chest; but she's better than the above types.

    Agreed! :)
    A great re-starting block.
