Target has the wave 2 deluxes for $35 as standard, $29 on sale right now. They allegedly (their web site says it is in their local inventory) have the wave 2 voyagers as well, but my branch couldn't be bothered unloading the pallets they have... They might have done it tomorrow.

Kmart is selling the wave 2 deluxes for $29 as standard. They definitely have the wave 2 voyagers, but very limited stock here (I saw 1 Soundwave and 1 Starscream, both now gone).

Is there any expectation of one of the big retailers getting any wave 1 deluxes / voyagers / leaders?

Can confirm that my local Target has several Voyagers.

I wish Starscream wasn't such a shelfwarmer. He really is amazing. Better than Soundwave, I reckon.

Oh absolutely. An amazing toy, the first I've wanted in, quite literally, decades.

I am so ready for a whole set of these. Hope Hasbro announced Skywarp soon.

Siege Wave 1 deluxes restocked at Hobbyco CBD. Probably the last chance to grab them, before the country fully moves onto wave 2.

Wave 2 voyagers and deluxes have shown up at K-Mart Caboolture, so they're getting out into the proverbial "Boonies" now. Not a huge amount of them (maybe 2 of each). They never did get wave 1, though, and no sign of any leaders. Some Battlemasters as well but I've no idea which wave they're from.

No major retail stores are getting wave 1. Hobbyco CBD got its last round on Wednesday, but reports claim its gone already. Besides; $40 for a deluxe is ridiculous. Had it been RRP I might've bitten, but as it stands I just went with Sideswipe and Hound.

Looks like that's the last of it. Time to order online.

So... given that Hasbro has screwed us over, and given that postage from the US is insane, where would you recommend an Australian go in order to obtain Wave 1 deluxes and voyagers?

    Honestly, not sure.

But about the Hasbro thing; I don't think it's them at fault here. If you recall, I attended a Hasbro POTP event a while back, and I actually asked about the stock issues. Hasbro has a bunch of stock at any given time, so it's not them at fault. Apparently whoever's ordering them simply isn't bothering unless a new movie is coming out.

Then there's the retail side of things. Since the event, I've gotten a job in retail, and although individual stores can ask for new stock, often they're at the mercy of a representative. Who is this representative? Not sure. Do they work for Hasbro? Probably not. Do they work for Target/Kmart/Hobbyco? Definitely not.

So some middle man is fucking everyone over because they don't sell as well as Beyblades.

I actually want to get into contact with this middle man and voice a complaint. Not to berate them or harass them; just to explain my concerns for the fanbase.

At this point you're really starting to look into Singapore- or China-based e-tailers. The shipping from those two generally isn't too bad to Aus, and the time from Singapore is also pretty good (my last few orders have been around a week, maybe a little over). I'd offer some suggestions as to which ones but the ones I usually check don't seem to have any Siege (they deal mostly in 3rd party).

Within Australia, though? Armoured Heaven (runs a side venture called "TF Space Bridge Collectables" from the same store and website) has a small selection left, as does Savier's Toys (TFToys). Neither has wave 1 Voyagers listed, though. Only place in Aus I found that listed those was The Little Toy Company and, while I've had good dealings with them in the past, I haven't been able to get a response for the last two weeks about my own wave 1 pre-orders (voyager and leader) or my MP-43. Kinda wish I had social media accounts for another avenue to prod them...

Double checked Hobbyco Sydney CBD. They're still there. Guess whoever claimed they were sold out was wrong.

Hmm. Thanks. I know Savier's, I got Shockwave, Magnus, and Sideswipe from him last week (the day Hound sold out, damn it!).

Hoping they make it to Sydney soon. I'll be able to cancel my TFSource order that way.
