Thanks to griffin-of-oz for information that is spot on in regards to price discounts at our local stores saving us from that feeling you get when you spend more than you have to.
I rarely see these days certain brands make it to store, only recently in the last year and a bit Generations, Classics, Platinum, Movie, Movie, Movie, RID new animated and now Combiner wars. There are always characters that seem to never make an appearance on shelves even with Target, K-mart and Big-W, when I lived in Sydney I could always count on GRACE BROS and TOYSRUS to have a huge variety and see that online in Australia much of what is not making it to store is in the country with EBAY sellers. Local stores are still providing the best deal and I imagine some stores are better stocked than others.

 

Generations Toys have now shown up at BigW stores, with Wave 2 Deluxes.

Plus, ToysRUs exclusive JP Movie Stinger toy is now out as well, for $30.

 

Don't think anyone's mentioned it yet, Myers had $20 deluxes and $12 legends when I went in on Wednesday. Didn't check voyagers as I already have Prime and with all the lego sales I wouldn't be able to afford Silverbolt anyway.

 

For anyone looking for TF4 Movie Power Battlers, the Reject Shop have stocked the early waves for $12 each. (Hasbro must be offloading more of their unsold movie stock to the Reject Shop)

This would seem totally unbelievable but last year there was a FEMALE Transformers fan living in the Northern Territory,she collected Starscream toys and enjoyed drawing in her spare time. and no this wasn't a dude with an online female avatar. She has moved to SA to pursue other endeavours. so yes NT TF fans do exist haha  

 

Gods, I would love it if Myer released Wave 2 before the 26th but knowing them they'll release it afterwards.

 

We've actually had two NT members at Ozformers (one from Alice Springs, the other from Darwin), but that's all I've seen in our 18 year history. I was hoping that we'd have some others here as well.  
Even though they only have 1% of the Australian population, but that should equate to at least 20 people from that Territory that should have been a member of TFW or Ozformers (as we've had at least 2000 fans join at Ozformers over the years, and there are at least another couple hundred here that I would expect are not over there... so statistically, 1% is at least 20 people).


We might have to start sending fans to the NT, to go door-knocking the locals and convert them to Transformers.  

 

Apparently the Reissue Insecticons 3-pack has been found at a Melbourne ToysRUs store, for $150.
This set is over-priced in other countries as well, and the other reissues look to be cheaper for what's in them, so this hefty price is not from the usual Australia mark-up pricing.

Has anybody here been to the Wellington Toy Collectors Fair? It looks like it is in its fifth year, happening June 21st, at someplace that I've forgotten (*I'll put the location here when I remember to get it).

I'd love to know a little more about the scene at the fair, whether I'd be likely to find any Transformers toys, etc. Thanks in advance if you have any info!

GEN Legends wave 4 has been found in Australia (Rodimus & Skywarp), along with repacked wave 3 toys Groove & Warpath.

Wave 2 and 3 are yet to be sighted in Australia. (Blackjack, Huffer, Viper)

We are yet to see Wave 2 Voyager (Motormaster) as well.


Madman Entertainment have now decided to release TFPrime Season 2 on Bluray, for October.
