The other day, I was in Target looking at the Transformers. Suddenly I was swarmed by a young family, two kids couldn't have been more than six. The kid's mother pointed to Leader Bumblebee and said:

"Hey look it's Bumblebee! And another one! Isn't it nice that the stores have your favourite characters?"

One of the kids looked at his mother with the grumpiest look on his face.

"All I see is Bumblebee mummy! Ironhide is awesome! Why aren't there more of him?"

The kid's little sister grabbed a Sentinel Prime box and an Ironhide box and hit the SP with IH and said:

"Go Ironhide! Take that twaitor down!"

The mother was shocked. KIDS ARE AWESOME!

Obviously these children have been greatly informed! These are the type of kids we want to grow up as part of the TransFandom!
Go Ironhide! You may be the crappier toy, but go ahead and take that traitor Sentinal down! :rock

:lol  Bumblebee being everywhere sucks ass! If those kids were here, it might be like this:
    "Mama, I want this Bumblebee!"
"You have 5 BBs already, how about Jolt? He looks neat"
    "Who's Jolt?"

If they ever join this forum (which they should), I really hope they come across this thread & bump it for the sake of being like haahh this might've been me.

However, these encounters aren't always good, especially when the little girl catches your verbal vulgarities in superstore & then runs to her mother for the sake of repeating it.

I hope my kids turn out this way, but continue to use in store toys to play with and not my own.

I'd slap those kids high-fives. Leave every Leader Bumblebee on the shelf.

Speaking of which, my cousin (who's like 2 and a half) was over at my place the other day & managed to ravage most of my collection (at least what he could reach).

However when the dust cleared, I couldn't help but laugh at how both of my Bumblebee figures remained virtually untouched. Maybe it's because they're legends/minibots, but it still put a smile on my face.

I don't know why, but this story seems too... fake. Like the kinda tall tale a fan tells to support their own opinion.

I don't know why, but if a child is so young they can't pronounce their R's correctly, I have a difficult time believing they can comprehend overstock. I can buy a kid going "where's Ironhide?" but it doesn't make sense for a child to go "there's too many Bumblebees." That's strictly an adult fan complaint. Too on the nose. The kids hitting the Sentinel Box with Ironhide seems even more fabricated. Too artificially "cute."

I guess it's possible (that the OP's story was made up), but thinking back to when I was little, it kinda bugged me how there were a million Batmans but very few other characters from the franchise, and that's part of why I was so happy when I got Catwoman from my Grandma (could never find her in stores). Along with that, I've had a dislike for shelfwarmers from as early as I could remember because seeing 20 of something made them less exciting to me (this isn't so much the case now, but it was always the case when I was a kid), so again, this really isn't that hard to imagine.

They might also have been older than his estimation, thus making it more reasonable for them to comprehend the movie plots.
