Attacktix Transformers clues here: http://attacktix.proboards22.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=trans&thread=1137274555&page=1
Decepticlone? Wow, that's rather unexpected. Who'd have thought a throwaway drone (or part of an army...) from the Armada game would get a figure, even if just an Attackix? I can't help but think that the "Skyblast" on the list, with mention of more than one form actually means E and C Jetfire as opposed to robot and vehicle modes, but maybe not.
I am volunteering for an Attacktix Tournament at MegaCon in Orlando, and these names came up with the PR staff. If anyone is going to go to MegaCon, I will see if I can get something to display.
Maybe... maybe not... (I'll revive this, instead of making a new one!) Only 18 Transformers will be released in the Boosters, and four in the Starter, two of which will ALSO be in the Boosters. So, barring any repaints, we are looking at 20 figures right there. Throw in the Mega, packed with a normal figure, and the Intergalactic Showdown pack with an Optimus, Megatron and Mega... we are now looking at 23 DIFFERENT molds. Galvatron and Dark Scorpnok could shake things up, but still 23 seems about right. Today, after nearly four months of searching, I found a clear shot of the Transformers packaging, complete with the figure order list. After a lot of squinting, maybe you will see it, too. IF these are coming out in June, they are only weeks away! Pictures of all figures above can be found here
Nope, these are built for gaming like Heroclix. They "move", shoot, and die. You can "transform" with a Special Power, where you swap one figure for the other... but no moving parts. Even though they have moving parts and shoot, they are under gaming... not Action Figures... so they are not meant to be the typical Transforming toy.
Probably not, Attacktix is it's own division/group in Hasbro. So, since Hasbro does not need to pay for it's own license - TF is an obvious choice. But these guys are not coming from the TF think tank, or budget... so no worries - no R&D money came from TFs. The patent is available online and it was developed for a generic line (much like Heroscape) but it never took off, until the got the SW license to go with it. AND, like Orodruin says, it's no mystery WHY they picked TF before GI Joe. It's movie time...
GI Joe is a horrible show. Plus no giant robots. I want to see what these attactix look like as TFs. I seen some Star Wars ones in the store but I don't get the point of them?
I really enjoy the new Sigma 6 cartoon. But, their robots are only about 6 feet tall, so you do have me there All the shows are online it helps pass time while at work, anyway.
