Mike... you mentioned someone did your initial prints.

What material did they run in? PLA or ABS?

 

I tried quite a few different companies (small and large) Shapeways, I.materialize, 3Dprint hubs. Also I tried a few different materials strong/flexible, PLA's, ABS's.

I am not sure what the contractors used as far as brand name other than PLA and ABS. Most of them the print quality was just plain bad or the print material couldn't hold up with the pin joint.


I am hoping once my printer gets here I will be a lot better at being able to pick and choose the best material for my products.

 

just giving you the suggestion or people who have the adapter and if it was done in PLA... and i think even ABS if you handle it right, you can dye the part. so if people are miffed about the white, some rit dye will give color to the part. should be an easy fix.

Well, lesson learned here. If your shoulder mount comes with the teeth that grip the shoulder too close together, make sure you take the time to file or trim the insides. Don't put any pressure on it at all trying to get it to go on the shoulder. It tore on me when I was trying to put it on for the first time, with me putting very little pressure on it.

 

Received mine this morning, huge improvement!

Where did you get the pins from?

 

They are standard off the shelf, available at any screw or fastener company.

I was wondering if you would ever think about making an adapter for Fanstoys Willis (Hound)

This thing definitely makes a huge difference if u have sphinx. I even ordered another when i lost the first one after it arrived.
