Finally got Apollo and the spiders. They've quickly become my favourite desk toys.

Don't mind the clutter in the background. Scoop and Sixgun lost a battle with one of our cats and I haven't bothered to bring them back online yet.

These Astrobots are incredible toys. I'm usually all about the transformation, but they've got so much to do that you don't need them. The drones are super articulated for what they are, not to mention Apollo himself. I've got the prototype and the Argus still coming. Can't wait to see what else they have in store for us. Bring on more robot goodness!

I'm such a huge fan of these toys. Got my Drones the other night. Unfortunately one of their mounted back gun points had broken at the handle. Contacted them via facebook and a new one is on it's way!

These guys and their toys are so awesome.

Got my second one, prototype colors, and set him up in weapon mode. That's a lotta fire power.

Still waiting on my Argus. Fingers crossed we start to see preorders for some of those newer ones that they've showed prototypes for. Especially Vulcan.

I love my Apollo figure and all the variants that I haven't gotten yet. That being said, the add-on weapons are a little underwhelming to me. I expected a lot better from the designers who made such an awesome figure. Not trying to knock anyone who has the add-ons, just feel like they could have made something more epic for a figure of this caliber.

I can sort of see this both from your side and from the side of them being cool add-ons. I mean, would I love to see something more power-up related, like the Valkyries in Macross got with super packs and then the big armor packs? Yeah, that would be incredible with the attention to detail these guys obviously are pouring into their work. But for weapon add-on backpacks that also have their own alt modes, these aren't horrible toys in and of themselves.

My only real disappointment was that you can only mount them on the back of the figures. I would have loved to be able to mount one on the front and one on the back to make one super monster Apollo.

I am actually digging that new bot. I think they are calling it Trashcan on big bad toy store and on toy notch's facebook page.

Trashcan really is quite a bad ass thing. Fantastic posability it has. Hope if we get recolors or variants they get plenty of different guns.

looks good, may grab one. But I'd really like their prototype astrobots to come out.
This is nice, but I just need more astrobots in my life.

Though I don't think Trashcan is actually an Astrobot branded bot, I could see him getting lots of armor options down the line with how skinny and sleek he is. Imagine having different mission armor you could swap around at any moment. I think that'd be pretty cool.

I wonder how much Trashcan folds up for storage?

I've ordered one purely on the basis of Apollo and Argus and how much I loved them. Hoping this will be of a similar quality.

Got my Trashcan after 3 weeks of waiting. He's really nicely put together. Unfortunately missing a piece of his waist armor though so I have to source that now.

My outer shipping box was also fairly squashed but thankfully the toys box itself had held up just fine due to the packing foam. Thank god for packing foam.

But yeah toy itself is fantastic otherwise, love how he looks. A bit bigger than I was expecting though very slim by robot toy standards of course. He looks very much like something built off realistic robot design vs the curvier more future looking usual toynotch bots.

IMG_20200727_202246.jpg IMG_20200727_202033.jpg Mine turned up from Kapow today. IMG_20200727_141505.jpg

He's......ok. came with three pieces and the tiny antenna already broken off and rattling in the packet which is annoying. And despite otherwise decent build quality the left wrist will not swivel at all and considering how thin the wrist pegs are....that's going to take some thinking about before I try and free it.

I like the design, I get the aesthetic, appreciate great posebility and knew going in this wasn't a beefy, heroic build like Apollo (I know, this is not an Astroboy, it's doing its own thing) but with Apollo/ Argus being the last product I've handled from Toynotch it's still a shock to see how tiny he is.

Worth picking up? You may experience sticker shock if you do at full price - like it or not this is NOT a £40 figure.

Now to figure out where the heck to glue the antenna back on to......

I also got unlucky on my Apollo Prototype Ver. The knuckle had a defect and caused a tear so the finger could rip off at any movement so I have it taped up so I wont touch the hand again. Im wondering if they send out the replacement part for totally free??? Because Im in a pretty far off country and bought my figure through a 3rd part delivery service. :)  broken 1.jpg broken 2.jpg broken 3.jpg
