I love the Assassin's Creed series (I cosplayed as Altaiir last year).

Assassin's Creed 1 was a good game, but it got it share of problems like some difficulties, redundant missions, control issues, but I was intrigued by the story and knew there was something bigger than more than meets the eye. And, it was nice to play as a Middle Eastern protagonist to play as... to bad it didn't live that long...

Assassin's Creed 2 is probably my favorite so far. More likable characters, more variety in gameplay, loved the secret puzzles, loved the plot, and it's one of the rare times I get to collect everything in it. Yeah, at first I didn't like I was playing in another place and as a goofball compared the serious Altaiir, but Ezio grew on me and I really liked him by the time of Revelations.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was bigger, with more improvements in the gameplay, but felt a bit too long and too large of a wold to keep up with

Assassin's Creed Revelation was underwhelming. At first I was excited to play in Istanbul; a city I really enjoyed in my travels, but it was lackluster. It was way too small, the puzzles were replaced with some strange POV world, and didn't have much of a challenge compared the the previous installments. The one frustrating part was defending the base missions. They were a big torture and I hate it a lot!

I didn't go that much in Assassin's Creed 3. The ship part was too boring and at that point I was already burnt out from the Assassin's Creed I've played at that point and so, I left it for another time.

AC4 uses the sync bars just like AC1. I'm glad I don't have to play as Desmond anymore. For once, I'm actually more eager to see where the framing device of the story is going than the main story.

From what I have read, it is definitely standalone and is more of a fun pirate game than an Assassin's Creed game with a complex story.

At first, I didn't like the naval warfare in the game. It's a lot more fun once I got used to it and bought most of the upgrades

Got AC4 for the PS4 Fiday and so far I am loving it. Controls seem much more responsive than the prrvious versions and OMG the environments are beautiful. I'm not too far in the game yet, so I can't comment on that other than I am enjoying it!

Who else got it for PS4?

This is my first AC game.....can someone explain the story behind the future/memory sequences? I thought it was a pirate game, but after I sailed out of the harbor I went to some futuristic world.

I am just starting to get into black flag really good but I am loving every bit I have played. Now to just get the hard back of the guide cause I collect those and they help alot with my gaming anyway.

Got it too for the PS4. Yup, the environments really look crisp. I've only started too, I get distracted by the side quests that's why I'm moving slowly thru the storyline.

The future/today is everytime you step out of the animus. It's like a virtual reality simulation machine that let's you play as Edward. You as an employee of Abstergo use it to collect data for them and you do it by relivin/playing thru the memories of Edward.

Anyone got Black Flag on Wii U? I'm considering getting it. Never had an AC game before, but it's time I got one.

    Edward should've had a hookblade because he's a pirate

I miss the hook blade because it made climbing more fun and I loved ziplining across the city. I was disappointed that the tomahawk wasn't a replacement for the hook blade and you only ziplined with it once or twice.

only played a little yesterday, but really dig how edward is a PIRATE thrown into being an assassin, and not vice versa. helps make the whole scenario a bit more lively when his motives are $$ and fortune, and not simply blending in as a pirate to achieve assassin work. fun so far.

So something spiffy showed up today

Decided it was time to take a family photo :)

Unfortunately, some of my stuff is already packed up for a house move, so I couldn't quite get in everything I have :(

Now to actually install and play the thing :)
