YIKES! Yeah, I don't blame you abit for choosing not to grab these. It really is easier for everyone to just pick them up off taobao.

Part of me does want to pick up two shirts, one to keep and wear and the other to keep sealed incase I ever want to sell grimlock.

I believe it was being sold on taobo or yahoo japan auctions. A member here posted it a few years back. So if you do a google search you will see where it was listed. I freaking think it looks amazing in that orange and black coloring scheme = )

My Grimlock arrived today, and I'm really digging it, but his hips are sooooo loose. I think someone else had this problem too in the thread. My guess would be just a problem with production.

Really wish I could get my hands on one of those shirts and aprons too just to complete my display with the box, but it seems my best option is Taobao which I've never used or probably ridiculous prices on eBay in the future.

Yeah, apparently you have to get inside the joint and just apply Future Floor Polish to it. Let it dry for 24 hours and the problem is solved. I am not brave enough to try and get inside that hip area but I'm sure someone has done it before and will post eventually. Future seems to solve all joint problems.

I read up on that. My question is, do you just apply in the joint with a Qtip or is it best to disassemble the joint?
Also, evilcat -can you disclose the total # of Grimlocks you were able to import here?

On the back of the leg there is a screw. I wonder if these guys could just tighten it and problem solved.

I think completely removing the leg by undoing the screw is the best way. Then pretty much anything that goes up under than red hip piece should receive a good coat of the polish. I'd use a qtip to apply it I guess. Or a tissue. I don't think it's too scientific.

When i first looked at it I didn't see that it was a big ass screw holding the leg on. There should be no problem getting the leg apart and getting the Future inside.

    Yeah, I thought that's cool.

In fact, any prototypes/testshots is cool in my book. :)

But that $1.5K is one hel* of a bitter pill to swallow though, certainly doesn't go down well in your throat.

I think the paydirt prototype would be the gray unpainted prototype. I suppose someone could custom a real Grimlock to look like that too.

    ^ No.

I dunno about you boys but the lure & appeal about prototypes/testshots is...

    They ARE prototypes/testshots! :lol

The real McCoy, not something that "looks" like it. (At least that's how I see it.)

Hi! Sorry don't know where to post this question, but to those that have this AE Grimmy, how different is it from the MP-08x? Also, if both is being sold to me at $350, which one should I get? I looked at ebay and prices were all over the place. I also don't really want to base on just ebay if possible.

Apologies in advance if this question is not for this thread... I didn't know where to ask thanks in advance! :)

If you can get mp-08x for $350 then do that, for sure. Those generally go for $500.

Differences are that the paint is totally different. X version has comic colors.
