I agree, especially when more often than not the flashback doesn't have anything to do with the story of the episode. I'm sure later they'll tie it in, but for now I'm just like "Who cares about HK years ago!?"
Was he actually black? I thought the skin tone was due to his power. Regardless, good villain to add to the show.
So I just started this show on Netflix. Caught up with season 3 on the Arrow website. I like this show a lot and happy with the way season 2 ended, but man, I'm so sick of the flashbacks. Two other gripes with Season 2. 1. Sara in the flashbacks. Way too dragged on for me. Would have been so much happier if she wasn't in them and Oliver thought she died on the Queen's Gambit boat. 2. Slade/Deathstroke's motivation. Lovesick? C'mon. That was just way too low for me. I can kinda understand the Mirakuru might have warped his mind a bit, but I preferred the level headed Deathstroke.
Yeah, Slade was in love with Shado but his blame of Oliver at her death was really his motivation. I don't know if "lovesick" is really the cause as much as wanting Oliver to suffer as punishment. He even told Oliver so.
I agree about the flashbacks. Now that Oliver is off the island and in Hong Kong (and running into Tommy), it seems overly complicated.
Yeah, I meant more along the lines that it seemed to me Slade had like a high school "crush" on Shado vs what I could have considered being truly in love with her. He seemed so level headed. Also considering it was pretty far from Oliver's fault that she died. Again, I can see the Mirakuru having an effect, but that just diminishes the bad ass Deathstroke I would want.
Yeah, she became progressively worse during Season 2. Also, don't judge me or anything but watching Laurel getting her ass beat was pretty satisfiyng.
Not a big Thea fan either.... In S1 or 2, I wouldn't have minded Laurel getting the crap beat out of her, but she did go looking for it... now, she'll get trained and kick back. I'm liking her better in S3. Great Diggle ep.... worried he was getting sidelined, good work on his part tonight.
I can totally understand that. Yeah, no kidding. Plus Ted is about 20 years too young. I haven't mentioned it, but Routh is doing a great job.
I thought Routh would have made a good Television Superman. They already made a costume for him. But I can live with the Atom, makes me wonder who they will get for Superman with the Supergirl series coming from the same producers.
Arrow - Episode 3.06 - Guilty - Press Release (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV) TED GRANT IS ACCUSED OF MURDER — After a body is found strung up in the Wildcat gym, Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez) becomes the main suspect. Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) argue over Ted’s innocence. Meanwhile, in flashbacks, when Maseo (Karl Yune) needs Oliver to remember where an informant for China White stashed key information, he asks Tatsu (guest star Rila Fukushima) to help jog Oliver’s memory. Roy (Colton Haynes) shares a secret with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Peter Leto directed the episode written by Erik Oleson & Keto Shimizu (#306). Original airdate 11/12/2014.
Are you really surprised? Her name IS Laurel DINAH Lance after all. In fact, I bet Sarah was only there in S2 to act as a catalyst in order to eventually turn Laurel into Black Canary. I don't care either way at this point, just as long as the she stops becoming so freaking whiny after all of this is done. Anyway, episode 3 was just more awesomeness. Loved watching Laurel get the shit kicked out of her. Still not happy the episode had to end.
