That was an amazing episode. Barry was better in this episode. Shall be interesting to see him in his own series. I definitely wasn't expecting to see him gaining his powers. I imagine we'll see that again in the Flash pilot. I'm a little worried about Roy. I'm glad he survived that experience, but this definitely makes his future... unpredictable. It was a small detail, but I appreciated the Solomon Grundy reference. With how things went down, I doubt he's dead. I imagine we'll see him again, and possibly utilizing the Solomon Grundy name. It was great to finally see Slade post-island. I was actually begining to worry that he was actually dead. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of him in the future. The wait till January 15th isn't going to be fun... well, not entirely fun. I'm getting the season one combo pack for Christmas, so that'll help make the time go faster. The wait for Christmas on the other hand...
Me too! But I knew the particle accelerator was going to have something to do with him becoming the Flash. I expected it just to be left that we'd see him back in Central City, but seeing him get struck by lightning was a great treat. Spoiler Also, I knew from the beginning that Slade would "catch up" to the regular time setting.
All I have to say is HOLY SHIT. That's how you do a season finale, but its only mid-season! This show just brings it!
The Flash show is going to be interesting, in regards to how it relates to the current time line with Arrow, when it premieres. I assume they may just start the show in Arrow's season 3 timeline, and use flashbacks to fill in the gaps? Assuming the Flash show premieres in fall 2014.
CLOCK KING Next DC Villain Cast for ARROW | Newsarama.com hope he's handled as well as he was in his first appearance in BTAS
Can we just agree we never want this show to end? I seriously wouldn't mind if this show lasted decades! It's essentially turning into "Green Arrow Presents: DC Comics: the TV Series," which I LOVE! Seeing this series each week gives me the same feeling that I got as a kid from the X-Men and Batman cartoons, and it makes me feel like I'm watching a comic book in live action. I'd even argue that Arrow does a better job than the Marvel Movie Universe in feeling like a live-action comic book, though maybe that's unfair to Marvel. We get to spend an hour each week with the characters of Arrow, so of course we get dozens more hours than we spend with Captain America, Thor, etc. One aspect of comic books that the Marvel movies can't give us is the serialization: coming back for more, seeing big events and small moments in characters' lives, seeing side characters showing up every once in a while. Being 2-hour movies, Marvel's universe pretty much needs to only show us how the characters react to huge world-changing events. With Arrow, we get some A-grade action (for a TV series, anyway), great characters who aren't named Laurel, and addicting serialization. That being said, Marvel did get an opportunity to give us "Marvel Comics: The TV Series" and completely blew that opportunity. Agents of SHIELD is just a disaster. So....Long live Arrow! May it go on for decades!
I agree with you on Agents of SHIELD. The problem with that show compared to Arrow, is Arrow is at least going out of their way to make DC references (like mentioning Coast City, these hints of Reverse-Flash, etc) but Agents of SHIELD doesn't really do any of that. They don't talk about OsCorp, or mention anything like that.
