Would you dig it? Insecticons, Junkions, and my personal favorite: Purple Seeker! Or Aircon, if I recall correctly.

There is a high possibility these would shelfwarm, but then they we go on clearance, then you can buy more to build your army!

    What do you think?

I wouldn't mind the purple seaker. Of course, I don't think Hasbro will release a generic TF. They will name it. Similar to how all the army builders in Energon all had names.

I don't have the disposable income to build large armies of toys, so I'd just buy one of each, but the generic characters would be cool to see as toys.

I'm sure with Scourge announced we will see the Sweeps.

I agree. I think they'd give it some stupid name simply for the sake of a trademark, but it'd always just be "generic purple Seeker" to me.

Also, I intend to buy 3 Scourges when they're released for Sweeps and the use the hopefully-continued Henkei version as Scourge himself.

No, I'd like that money to go to creating new molds.

    Specifically Wheeljack.

I don't army build, but I'd definitely be ok with some army building type of characters being updated in Generations. Though with Reflector getting a figure (even if it's a repaint/retool of Perceptor), almost has me considering buying three of them (would be more inclined to do so if the figure was Scout class).

Sweeps would be interesting, though I'm hoping the mold gets repainted/retooled as Sideways (based of his look in TF:Cybertron).

Insecticons wouldn't be out of the question. It wouldn't be Classics styled, but a simple black and purple repaint of the HftD Insecticon would work for me.

More Seekers would be nice, though I'd be ok if they were to come up with a new mold for them, instead of continuing to use the Classics one.

I've said it many times, but I'll buy as many Seeker repaints as Hasbro decides to uke out. I'm a total Seeker Sheep. Give me Sunstorm and Thundercracker then repaint it all the colors of the rainbo! I'm looking forward to G2 Ramjet from the Club next year!

Also Insecticons would be cool too. Since Windcharger is a Scout maybe we'll see the Insecticons too!

I'm hoping that when Scourge is released I will have the funds availible to grab atleast 3 extras for Sweeps. And I would love to get 3 or 4 Generic Air Warriors as well. AA/HFTD Insecticons in purple in black won't do for me.

as everyone else has said, the sweeps are gonna be pretty easy to do if you want to army build.

I didn't mind army building Blue Shirts or Snow Serpents with GI Joe but for some reason Transformers has just felt like a characters only line. Even if it's just a repaint it still feels like a different character when it's Transformers.

I guess I'll have to see how Transformers Prime turns out to see if it can sell me on the idea of troops with the same body type in Transformers.

Even then I can't see getting more than maybe two of a generic trooper to stand on each side of a major character. Not so much for the troopers themselves but more as really big accessories for the character.

Just hope if Hasbro does this it will not be as hard as army building with the Marvel line.

I don't honestly care about army building. I'm cheap so i would rather have "repaints" or new molds of other charecters before i go out than buy more of the same figure like X3 times.

I don't hate Botcon exclusive army builders because first of all they are all packaged together so atleast I'm going out and buying the same, they have different names. Like Sweep 1 or Sweep 9000. :lol  and second i still couldn't afford them anyway. :p

These are the only groups of characters I would consider army building for.

Other than that, I'd rather the time and money was spent on new molds.

If they did a Brawl figure for WFC, that would be the ultimate trooper to build.

Speaking of WFC, I always thought Armada Demolisher would make a great army builder. Especially given the various repaints. Maybe a WFC Demolisher would be cool. If he's anything like the Armada character, I'd imagine he'd be honoured if Megatron cloned him.

Maybe Sweeps, if they were different enough (especially color-wise) from Scourge. And if they happen to do Insecticon figure molds that are between the "basic" and "deluxe" characters, I might army build the "basic" versions a bit.
