Pffft, this looks like a good time. One of the heads for those dinosaur.. things looks pretty close to Grimlock from AOE and TLK, I'd have to get a better look but it looks pretty close. And~ the trailer ends with a Game of Thrones. Of course.
Okay, that's actually a pretty damn good trailer. I'm sold, it's already better than anything I've seen Hollywood put trailers out for this year. I know exactly what it is about. Someone made dinosaurs, than trained them to fly into robotic armor suits. Then, they let them loose on some random city, and just let them fight. "Why? Because, idk, it looks cool!" Sounds like a scheme to raise the insurance costs, to be honest.
When that robot transformed I was like "But... that's Crowbar... did they raid the ILM model library?" And then we get Ravage and 2-headed Strafe-Swoop and Optimus Primal and Skullcruncher VS Power Ranger colored Dinobots. Anyway, so when is this out? There are plenty of korean streaming sites (my mom watches a lot of korean shows) where we could watch this free and subtitled. Typical Robot Chicken. "80is nostalgic property+controversial subject= joke" in their heads. How did their dumb little minds move on to "forced labor camps" from Dino Riders? There are SOOOO much better jokes to make with them. It even gets the property wrong because the T-rex was a Rulon owned dinosaur... yet here it is piloted by the Valorians/Dino Riders. Not a dig on you, I just really hate Robot Chicken and how low brow their humor is.
Ok, I can be a little more forgiving with the B-movie level CGI, then. I mean, it's no Birdemic. But it is one-shade off of being theatrical worthy - looking a bit more like a really well made modern XBOX game.
Some kid from the 2010's - "OMG is this that Dino Rider thing those old people always talk about?" *me Gibbs smacking the kid in the head* Me - "NO! Now shut the hell before you get another" Holy crap there are chibi kits with some sort of feature as well. Not gonna lie, really wish they had a stego. That said the vehicles do look pretty cool and it only looks like tricera only really suffers from the gimmick with those big slots on the sides. Now the question is, knowing how hard it is to get Tobots figures without breaking the bank, how much are these guys going to set ya back
They're okay. Really wish they were like Jurassic Park-ish scale. The size doesn't really bug me but the limited articulation does.
Nope the same ones from the commercial I'm afraid. I don't think the containers are included just model pieces, maybe something from the show/movie. Unboxing video ~edit~ They do have larger figs but they seemed to be fully armored ditching that regular dino with add on armor gimmick.
Okay found this video so maybe there is a DX series in the works. If there is and they look like the figures in the video then I take back what I said earlier. Google translate of the text in the description. Armored Saurus toys that combine armor and dinosaurs are vividly reproduced in Academy Sciences! We will meet you with high-quality toys to meet your expectations!! Please look forward to it [Armored Saurus Toys] 1) Armored pot series 2) Compact series 3) DX series The product in this video is a mockup during the development of a toy, and the actual product is released as a finished product.
I randomly discovered this show when watching some Kamen Rider stuff. The designs are pretty cool but the toys are so-so. If this was a fully CGI show then i'd be interested, instead it's pseudo live-action for some reason. Also why are Triceratops always blue? I've seen pink and yellow but most others are always blue.
Yeah, saw some reviews of the deluxe T-Rex toy and it looks better. Also, dunno how this board is about posting video streaming sites, but there is a website where you can watch the episodes subbed. The opening is... kinda amazingly silly. But, the CGI is not bad. Basically, the dinosaurs were not extinct - aliens abducted them, and put weapons on their backs Dino Riders style and used them as mercenaries in intergalactic wars. Somehow over the millenia, the dinosaurs became fully robotic, learned how to transform, and overthrew the alien masters, and are now conquering the galaxy and heading back to Earth! Where, in the meantime, dinosaurs were cloned again from leftover DNA... The transforming dragon-like dino monster looked a lot like the Dreads from TF3. Well, you have Power Rangers to blame for that. Now all robotic/armored Trexes are red and Triceratopses are blue.
