I just have watched Armada for the first time. While a huge fan of Headmasters Sixshot, I found that Armada Starscream was portrayed somewhat similar in the show. They’ve got very similar views on loyalty, honour, acting and being alone and had the soft spot - care for humans. Starscream’s destiny was definitely sad and beautiful though in comparison.

I wonder if someone else have noticed these similar traits?

Maybe Japan's samurai loyalty-honour culture as well as all these “bad guy that is not that bad” relationships with humans kind of thing? I loved how they both interacted with humans and how they cared for them. And humans cared too, believed in them, and called them friends (both Starscream and Sixshot kind of mentioned this in the series that such a friend thing was new to them, and then they both seemed to enjoy it) and they both fought their loyalty oath to their commanders inside themselves while coping with feelings of what was the right thing to do. In a situation where they’ve got to save their human companion they would scream: “Alexis” or “Daniel”. And both, eventually saved the humans and their actions were major and lead to the peace. And both were secondary roles- right hands of their Deception commanders.

On a side note, I loved this Starscream and of course, I am a fan of G1 Starscream. Watching G1 back then, I thought like this guy is going to find a human who believes in him and admires him and he will be kind to such a person (even G1 Starscream!). And then, seeing this show, I was like, yes, this is it! I still find Armada and G1 Starscreams similar, they just had faced somewhat different lives :)

Anyway, I think if you watched Armada and loooved Starsceam version of it you gonna like Headmasters Sixshot, and vice-versa!

I am curious what you guys think!

Armada Starscream Fans Strike Again! 10 dead, 20 injured.
Can we just let characters be their own thing and separate.

Armada Starscream never killed Ultra Magnus.

besides Screamer was more of a samurai, whereas Sixshot is a ninja consultant.

Yeah... i could see that comparison.

Now if it was a discussion on the similarities between Ultra Magnus & Armada Overload, it be a nother story. Considering that Overload is named Ultra Magnus in Japan... which gets redecoed into Ultra Magnus.

I agree, of course they are still both unique. They are different in many ways too.

True, Sixshot was more evil in his plans.

That’s a great point. You made me think of that. Hm, indeed, Starscream never betrayed his commander even when he was not loyal to him and abused him, but Sixshot broke his oath when was betrayed.

I still wonder what Sixshot would do if Galvatron survived. Would he stay loyal? If yes, then, he would have faced a harsh choice like Starscream because eventually he would have to betray to prevent Earth's distraction because of Daniel since there were no option to unite Deceptions and Autobots even for a while.
