I'm waiting for both to arrive, but right now I can only afford 1. Both I can treat as Movie figures, Powerdive looks more like a movie figure, but Smokescreen I love his design but he's probably going to be $5 more.

    Which one?

I would go with Smokey, but then again I'm biased. :)

I don't have the Powerdive/Highbrow mold so i can't compare. But i got Smokescreen yesterday and i really like him. The only real problem for me is the pegs that stick out at the back in alt mode. But he does have a good head sculpt and a cool little micron.

So much more value with Powerdive. An excellent transformation, unique alt mode and some cracking paintwork. Plus it's two G2 homages in one and makes an excellent companion piece to Generations Lugnut if you have him.

Does anyone think that Arm Micron Smokescreen looks like the Smokescreen on tv?

Both are just repaints with retooled heads. I'd say go for Powerdive if you like WWII Planes, go for the Knockout repaint if you like Cars with hardly any paint apps :lol

This thread is unbiased about using the word "unbiased."

I voted for Powerdive, simply because he's a FABULOUS G2 HOMAGE!!!! He also doesn't look like shit with white out and stickers.

Powerdive doesn't feel like a $30 bag of concessions.

Powerdive. Easily. Great redeco of Highbrow, better than original IMO. Nifty figure homages both his namesake and his partner Ransack.

AM Smokescreen... is a repaint of Knockout... which really doesn't work quite right IMO. Here's hoping that such a prominent character in Season 2 eventually gets a proper figure... even if it is via the Beast Hunters line.

Powerdive. Because I feel like smokescreen might get a beast hunter toy.

Strangely I say Powerdive. Odd because I have no interest in owning him even though I am a classics whore, but he does look kind of interesting. I am pretty deep into Prime, but for some reason, Smokescreen doesn't do a lot for me. Maybe it is the mold, maybe it is because Hasbro (IMO) did a piss poor job of getting product to market, or maybe because there are other Takara Prime figures I want first to fill holes in my Prime collection that I will likely not bother getting.

Really guys? A tie in the polls? There's no contest with Powerdive!

AM Smokescreen is a Knock-Out repaint (rather, depaint) with a so-so head and average micron.

Oh yeah, and he comes out of the box plain white, like an unfinished prototype. You literally have to put every sticker on.
Plus the mold looks nothing like Smokescreen and he will no doubt get a Beast Hunters toy down the line.

With Powerdive, you get an awesome repaint (and actual paint) of the amazing Highbrow mold.
Not only is it a loving homage to G2 Powerdive, but it has a new head and actually improves on the mold by giving it a decent color scheme!

    Also, shark decal.

    You're welcome.

Whu? I'd be Smokescreen all the way if his toy wasn't a repaint. Disappointing because Takara has been able to do Breakdown without Hasbro releasing their own version.
