Cartoon, detailed, style, what ever aesthetics float your boat! I don't have a problem with cartoon styling, but I was in on the previous MP style, now it's changing, and re-doing stuff, and Prime is $400, and I just give up on MP.

If MP's your style, great, for me, they're kinda "overblown" (too complex sometimes and too big) to be any fun to actually fiddle around with.

The entire first wave of Siege is under $300, I'm going to get a lot more enjoyment out of that than another MP Prime for $400. The only large Siege figure I've opened so far is Prime and the build quality seems to me to be quite stepped up from Prime Wars. He's "small", but dense without hollow stuff and seems like quite the parts count with the intricate transformation.

From searching sold ebay auctions pricing stuff, seems to me MPs sometimes re-sell for their price, or a bit above, or often times rather below (my sealed MP Prowl sold for $60, Streak isn't moving :/ ) while even CW stuff is selling for more than their original prices even if loose. (Loose CW Prowls selling for $25, $30, or more, I sold the set of 4 limbs of his wave for $120, original cost $60).

Anyway, a little bit of fun with some pics:

I've bought 7 sets(14 single boards, ~$15 per set of 2) of Zeta toys EX orange boards for a display. That makes a display about 40" long, 10" deep, and 14" high, so a wide shot showing the whole thing with some combiners on it:

Cropped shot of various "1985 Classics" figures:

And Siege OP armed up with some Arms Microns:

    that's kewl,
Only 30? I thought u had alot more than that...
And I'm sure Jordan will be happy to sell him to ya!

400 bucks IS waaay too much to spend on another prime... I agree that mps are sometimes no fun to fiddle with. And I'm definitely liking the heft to the seige figures too. Still crossing fingers for autobot targetmasters.
Maybe i should be bought extras of those cw figures...

WHOO-HOOO!!! Pics!! And fun ones with backdrops and all!! Very cool! I bet it was fun setting it all up!

Sorry, I haven’t updated that thread in about a year. Yeah, I’ve got the animation version for sale, I’ll post a complete and updated list some time this weekend.

To each is own. I personally love the complexity and the cartoon accuracy. If I had a steady (read: full time/post-college) income then I’d be buying pretty much just official MP at this point. Unfortunately, I’m in college and have little time for a job, so things are being whittled down to the bare essentials (ie 3 pairs each of Optimus and Megatron from the series that currently have MP representations)

I don't mind the MPs taking a more cartoon accurate look but the way the prices are going up on them and the Beast Wars MPs, it's just not feasible for me to stay interested in the MP line anymore. I'm not knocking the economics, but when we talk about over $200 for a toy, I'm not real comfortable laying that kind of money on a single toy at one time. Not saying I won't ever buy another MP but it would depend on the character, price at release, and if it goes on sale someday later.

At this point, I'd much rather spend the money I would on a single MP release and use it on several Generations figures at a time. In fact some of the ones I have gotten have been almost as awesome as an MP, especially Studio Series Sideswipe and Siege Sideswipe.

    Hell, no! :p
Besides, too hot in here for snow flakes anyway. :tumbleweed:

I had to take my G1 Prime reissue back the other day (unopened of course). I know I only paid $25 for it after the gift card, but the more I got to thinking about it (and the more I look my TRU complete reissue), I decided I'd rather use that money for either Siege Magnus or some more Bot Bots. So Russellville Wal-Mart has one more Prime back on the shelf.

    PICS!!
Iron factory "Dubhe" or "not Tarn"
I took these in the sequence of Tarn going into deep thought as to why he does what he does for the decepticons.
He removes his mask and stares at it intently and ponders just leaving it all behind.
All it would take is to destroy the mask and disappear.
He closes his hand with force and crumbles the former symbol of fear.
For a brief moment he feels like a weight is lifted and he is free.
But the mask is more than a physical symbol.
Its a curse that no one can escape. Not even Tarn... 20190208_220542.jpg 20190208_220552.jpg 20190208_220654.jpg 20190208_220844.jpg 20190208_215257-1.jpg

Alas, poor Tarn! I knew him dear Megatron, a fellow of infinite justice, of most absolute law. He hath borne me in many battle, a fierce fighter, and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is!

I haven't figured that out myself... Hes the only iron factory figure I own and the only one I plan to get. I thought about getting the others to build the combiner Tarn; but since the other bots are all different colors, I can't bring myself to do it. If they were a "combiner team" with different colors--such as abominus or menasor...I would buy them because they are a team and are supposed to combine therefore all of the colors GO together. The djd is NOT a combiner team and their colors look bad on a singular bot. So its an easy pass for me

Forgot to mention this last night, Russellville Wal-Mart had a brand new case of Bot Bot single packs. Unless it was moved since last night it was on the opposite side of the aisle from the Bot Bot section on the bottom shelf. Picked up SA Cheez and Cocoa Crazy and left the rest.
