Not sure if this necessitated it’s own thread or not so mods feel free to merge if so. I was speaking to an owner and employee of a Comic shop (Not going to say where or what for obvious reasons) and he relayed to me some info about upcoming products and such. This info was from his distributor directly. I wanted to share what I was told:

-Ark has play set functionality in ship mode. They couldn’t really clarify further, the rep isn’t even allowed to shop pics yet.
-They said the Ark was almost 2ft long in ship mode. Not sure if that’s an exaggeration because that would make robot mode bigger than normal for what we’ve come to expect from Titans.
-Release date, as we’ve seen in other threads I believe, is around June or July.
-They mentioned Studio Series Premier waves of different size classes. Not sure if this is just what Studio Series is called internally, but he felt like the Premier part of the name is new.
-A line of rereleases was mentioned. This he seemed excited about. He said one figure was last released in 1984 and hasn’t been available again since then. The others were from the 90s (maybe Beast Wars Transmetals?)

Now I know a lot of this is lacking detailed information and that’s because Hasbro actually hasn’t solicited everything fully. Apparently not having Toyfair has thrown them off a bit. They plan on doing the next set of reveals in the next few weeks but until then my Comic Shop owner hasn’t even seen the product yet, everything was just described to him through his distributor. For instance the Ark and Rodimus are still listed without names on his order sheet as Titan Class and Commander Class.

Well that’s all the I have. Really just wanted to share with everyone.

I just checked and with Omega Supreme's nosecone arm pointed straight up in the air, it's just over 26 inches tall, so I could imagine a Titan with a ship mode about that long.

I’m waiting on my Omega Supreme from Pulse so I did not know that. Interesting.

If true, a 2ft Ark could compress to form a robot. If the ship is narrower and the bot thicker.

Depending on the transformation scheme, it could be one that doesn't lose/gain much length/height. Like, if the legs extend from one spot, but the end of the ship also folds down to form the arms, then you're only shifting the mass around, rather than shrinking/expanding the visual footprint.

Certainly a good point I was thinking of it being larger in robot mode but that’s not necessary.

Very similar to what I was thinking! With otger titans, they end up bulk due to being wide or stout but the ark could be more "Last Auto bot lanky" I can't wait though. As long as the ark looks good, this titan may very well stay in ship mode.

If Transmetal Tarantulas gets reissued, I will stand up, and rip my shirt in half, and beat my chest like a gorilla, and turn into the Hulk.

But then it wouldn't be a reissue.

The biggest one I'd go for is a TM Megatron that didn't shatter at the waist.

Always has been assumed that the Ark would be a playset in ship mode since the g1 core figures were shown, but nice to have additional confirmation.

Yeah definitely. A lot of this isn’t new exactly but it does reinforce some other stuff we’ve heard.

If there are Transmetal reissues I'm nabbing the lot.

Curious if they'd stick with the chrome though. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing some transmetals with metallic paint instead given that won't flake.

I hope TM Rampage is a candidate for a reissue, if these do happen, because even my Metals release has started experiencing chrome flaking, so "Track down the old Japanese version (if you can find one and afford it)" doesn't work on it like it does for other Transmetal figures.
