I guess everyone would gone through such stage when one is stress from collecting due to various reasons. Some are getting tired too at certain stage.

Of course we get rejuvenated and bounce back up from collecting down.

    So share your experience here.

I'm running out of space, lol.

It would also be nice if Local retailers would carry more nice shit, but, you know, "Target Audience"

I work at a retirement home in which they have restaurants . My position is a utility worker (dish boy) which is given the most pay out of student staff. Not saying much i get paid 8 dollars and something an hour. Every pay check is at least 300 and some bucks. I sometimes go overboard on buying transformers. That is mostly the problem.

I can't imagine being stressed unless you're a completionist, which I personally don't identify with, at all.

As to tired, I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean bored or disinterested? If so, I think everyone goes through that until they see that one figure that captures their imagination.

It's a hobby-- if it doesn't bring pleasure, simply stop until it does so again.

Transformers collecting has never stressed me out. Back in the mid 90's Star Wars collecting stressed me out due to scalpers. But once I got out of the completionist mentality things became fun again.

True. But now storage space is my biggest headache. To have more means some of them have to jailbreak outta their boxes.

I can't say I'm stressed. If I got stressed then I wouldn't do it. I am starting to run out of space though, so I need to think about re-arranging or even new shelves.

    It's a hobby. It shouldn't cause stress.

Perhaps "addiction" is the word many should be looking at.

    Stressed no.

I'll be taking a extended break.

Only a few purchases I see on the horizon.

Too many things I want, too little money to get them all, and not enough space to display everything, and the occasional self judgement of wondering why I have so much stuff. So with lack of space and funds you have to prioritize which can be stressful and make you feel like you are missing out or making a mistake (having to pay through the nose later). Overall its fun, and now that Prime is done that takes a huge amount of collecting off the table since I don't do movies, don't do chug (except an occasional new generations fig), and don't do 3rd party (with a few mp and fembot exceptions).

I too am running out of space--display space. I've still got a bit of storage space, though.
I often go through long periods of collecting interrupted by sudden periods of getting rid of stuff.

If you are stressed or tired from collecting, then you're doing it wrong.

I quit 3P because there's too much to keep up with. That and once I learned all the markup in buying from a domestic retailer...

Hasbro's releases are good, but I find them to be spotty at best and unavailable at the worst. I shouldn't have to lock in a preorder out of Hong Kong for 3x the price because I have no way of telling what wave is getting skipped and what wave will be here for 6 months (Skids vs Scoop scenario) or never stopping production (Springer).

As for the rest of it, I think a couple crash courses on business etiquette would solve most of my problems.

Scalpers are ruining it for me. Last Friday morning after work I stop at Target and I got there 5 minutes before they open. I wait around and a couple minutes later these 4 very well known scalpers in my area waddle up next to me. When the doors open I walk in and these 4 dudes speed walk past me to the point where its a fucking race. Then in the distance I see a handfull of Target employees just kicking back laughing at us. That moment it hit me that it is very disheartening that it has come down to me being publicly humiliated to get the stuff that I want at retail. To me its at the point that its not worth it anymore.

    What gives me stress:
    - not having enough funds to buy everything I want.
    - too many redecoes of a certain mold that I like, especially minor ones.
    - not finding stuff I want
    - poor QC

At the moment, it seems like space, money and too much lines of toys are the main issues we have.

Space problem will be the hardest to solve, especially box collector like me. :(

Just less interest with the downsizing and simplification/lack of details on the new ones. I plan to round out my movie cast, but it is silly how we haven't gotten lockdown yet (and mistake on passing on Galvi on my part).

Though I damn near completed the line (missing some Takara and the big Prime/BB repaints), things like TF Prime didn't really interest me.

Just the lack of quality for the price has turned me off on a lot of the new stuff. Becoming more picky/choosy in my selections these days, and as others have stated, there is just too much 3P to keep up on.

Talking to myself is making me think I should just start focusing on MPs. Quality over quantity.

Get rid of the word "stress" and replace with "concerned".

You realise you don't have to buy everything released by 3Ps.

Stress? Stress is my imminent redundancy in an overcrowded job market, not my toy robits!
