I used to laugh at the prices of stuff in the Fallout universe.

Because it is the direction we are heading. I'm lucky my kids like Krave and a giant bag of it at Walmart costs like $5.

Well first of all, a cereal with "real maple berries, dried cherries and almonds" sounds revolting, and I wouldn't pay thirteen cents for a box of it, never mind thirteen dollars. Secondly, retailer incentive pricing through sales and coupons should negate any outrageous price hikes. $3.27 for a box of cereal? Maybe I actually pay that much when it's the giant family size box and the store is having a sale. Just a couple days ago I bought five not-small boxes of cereal for $1.79 each, because the store was running a deal. Not crap, either: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Froot Loops, Lucky Charms... all the staples.

Yeah, $13 is a bit much for a box of cereal whether the "value" is there or not. Based on what they put in it I assume this is something that would probably be more geared towards the health nutter stores like Whole Foods. Personally a cereal with dried cherries, maple and almonds all make it sound like they're just making trail mix and I can buy a good-sized bag of that cheaper. It also sounds vomit-inducing honestly. Still, I imagine that people who shop at places like Whole Foods are probably the target for a cereal like this and they are the crazies that will see the perceived value in this.

It would just be the bastardized version, like the ones they trot out every year during halloween....which I guess is appropriate because its just berry berry kix dressed up as the monster cereals.

Really? Because I tend to see Fruity Yummy Mummy every Halloween where I live along with the big three but never Fruit Brute. Trying Fruit Brute's kind of on my bucket list. :p

What I would like to know is, what is a real maple berry? I tap maple trees and make syrup, and I swear I have never seen berries on any of my maple trees.

It may have been yummy Mummy , though I think they did do fruit brute one year. Like I said it really wouldn't matter what they put on the box cuz the cereal is nothing like the old monster cereals of the 70s and 80s

Does anybody over the age of 10 still eat cereal?

I'm kidding...sort of...I don't eat cereal in the mornings, and haven't done so since I was a kid. So I'd most likely give this a miss.

Uhh no.  I think General Mills can shove there $13 cereal where the sun don't shine. And people can add their own fruits and nuts to cereal for cheaper then that. Maybe if it were $13 for like, 3 boxes or something it would be reasonable.

What the hell is a maple berry anyway?
