So I was away on banishment durning the Botcon announcements, but from what I saw from Hasbro, I was BLOWN away!

Then I looked on here, and what I thought was:


I mean, I didn't see any threads thanking Hasbro. I mean, they have been stellar as of late with the Generations line. It's been home run after home run, with an occasional Tailgate thrown in to keep us honest and realizing how far we have come.

So my question is, are you not satisfied?

I have seen Hasbro step up their game to amazing new levels. I mean look at these generations figures we are getting:

A freaking HEADMASTER, WITH A HEADMASTER!




An ARCEE, I mean an ARCEE! That looks like her G1 model!!!!




They didn't stop at 1 insecticon!!!!



They finally gave us a G1 Power glide!



Now this is how I recall Windcharger looking:



This is not even including the already announced soon to be coming figures. To me, it's like Hasbro really means it when they are targeting us collectors. I mean just these major points are amazing within themselves:

1- We are getting G1 figures now. NOT REIMAGINATIONS! That is sweet as is. Which makes me wonder, will this be a reboot if sucessful?
2- We are getting figures as fans we have asked for FOREVER! (Arcee)
3- They are not stopping at 1 figure of a set (Bombshell)

Now the other announcement that they are tackling combiners! If the combiners look anything like the recent generation figures, it would be AMAZING.

I don't know about you guys, but I am very Satisfied. Hasbro is coming out showing it can be a gladiator!

Now, let's hope their QC is on point, and you guys won't have to see me complain about Hasbro any longer.

Great job Hasbro. GREAT JOB!

 

I have to agree, and moreover it's great to see all of these kinds of products in the pipeline during a movie year. I think most of the new Generations reveals look pretty cool (the ones Alucard77 points out above are all on my "to buy" list except Windcharger, only because I am happy with the RTS scout and am not a big fan of the Tailgate mold).

Add to that the continued expansion of MP releases in the US (at least 3 hitting this year, if you include Grimlock re-release, which I do because that's how I got him), and it's a great time to be a collector.

Here's hoping the trend continues at SDCC and beyond later this year.

EDIT: From what I've seen Arcee seems to be receiving some flak already, and I don't really get that. When I first saw the photos my initial reaction was "wow, she looks so G1 and way better than the 3P attempts we've seen to date." Also it's great to see more female characters, something important to me especially since I have a daughter and I want her to have some female Autobot heroes in her collection.  

 

Yes, credit where it's due.......thanks for Arcee, Powerglide and the Insect. The sky has not fallen.

I'm hoping Brainstorm is less wonky-looking in hand than that stock-photo makes it.

No thanks on the reuse of that Tailgate.

The tailgate mold keeps us honest.

But this is why I appreciate the Windcharger from Hasbro. I know a fair share of people who customize TF and they all pretty much said, I gotta get a tailgate. I will paint him into Windcharger.

Normally Hasbro doesn't give the fans these repaints. Well, not for YEARS later. But with Windchargers and Gears, we GET THEM IN THE SAME YEAR. Just cool to do in general.

As for Arcee, what possible flack can you give her?

 

The only thing that really bugs me about this new Brainstorm is his massive clown feet. Generations Roadbuster suffers from clown feet too :-/

 

I am also satisfied with Hasbro. One of the reasons why I can't quit. They just release too much damn awesome stuff.

 

I rather have clown feet to keep him standing.

Don't get me wrong, no figure is perfect or will ever be perfect. Even MP08 which was once deemed perfect is now considered sub par in need of upgrading.

So I accept some flaws in figures. Just not the QC, or where you can tell they cheaped out on a figure.

 

Yawn...I'll try to bookmark this post and throw it to your face when you complain about each of these figures, for different reasons, a year later.  

Brainstorm, Arcee and Chromia were my favourites from the show. Insecticon? Don't care, these guys are tiny. Windcharger? We got a better one some years ago.

LDR Megatron? Underwhelming.
VYGR Prime? LOL.

 

I'd be a little more satisfied if they'd release some of the figures that got cancelled for DotM...

I can't remember all the negative comments but if you peruse the "official images" thread in the News forum, I think some people complained that the backpack is too big or kibbly, or that she has an odd stomach. Personally I think she looks great so I don't really get the complaints.

 

I'm happy with everything. I will pass on Windcharger, for previously stated reasons, and I'm reserving judgment on the new Optimus for the time being. He looks like crap, but I'll keep an open mind. I'll probably buy him no matter what.  

 

Botcon sent my wallet into shock, made it cry, and now its in a coma...hopefully i csn revive it before these guts all come out. Fembots, leader Megatron, Brainstorm, Oh My!!

 

Arcee looks like a fucking Ninja Turtle, and you didn't even show the really shitty figures like the new Leader Megs or the new Voyager Prime.

 

It's cool to loathe Hasbro now. All the hip fans do it.

It's spreading to Takara MP too - I've seen at least three people claim 3P Scoria makes Takara MPs look like shit / cheap knockoffs.

This fandom is going to destroy the hobby one day.

My initial reaction to megs was like everyone elses, its growing on me though. The Armada pic was taken at a better angle.

 

I heard that they tried to release an "unreleased" toy line, but none of the vendor's bit on this. They were pitching things like Animated Blackout.

But not sure what else. Or even if the rumor is true.

Hopefully, the order of individual figures that Hasbro is trying to do now will bring this some new life.

What I will complain about is if there is major QC, or if they mold the leg into the ankle the causes the figure to tip over just cause they saved some money, or if the Transformation is god awful.

Something like that I will complain about.

However, looks, I won't. And after what I have seen from Hasbro on their recent figures, the Transformations on these things have been nice. And on the legends figures, I haven't seen obvious price cutting.

Didn't you hear about the cross over, Teenage Mutant Ninja Transformers.

Anyway, she is still great looking, well at least to me.
