Nope. The hit or miss ratio of the figures (lots of misses), plus the way the people involved handled communication (piss poor) makes me not miss Funpub a bit.

Thank you for great figures like the Animated Stunticons, Scorponok or the first Shattered Glass year, but you botched a lot of them. A lot.

    Botcon, yes. The exclusives, no.

As long as Hasbro keeps up with their own exclusives like Arcee/Magnus and Grotesque/Scorponok or the Speed/Strength sets, I'll be happy. They're so much cheaper than Botcon exclusives and just as good.

Sometimes, FunPub was able to dig out of the dirt some homages that Hasbro probably wouldn't touch, like Machine Wars or the planned Actionmasters. But I'd sacrifice every single one of those for the Legends EX toys I recently purchased (UW Baldigus, Greatshot & Grand Maximus).

Not at all, I feel 3p fills that part of my collection better. Getting a nice voyager Impactor is a lot better than getting Rook repainted with a new head for 4x the price.

4x the price? Impactor cost around $33 if you split the cost of the shipment of three figures. That's roughly 2X the cost of what Rook was at retail.

Yeah, he goes for A LOT more now. But there was nothing stopping you from ordering the subscription service at $100 per shipment at the time it was released.

You were never GOING to get them. Those mockups were "maybe we would have thought these up and Hasbro may have approved them in an AU where Botcon wasn't cancelled". It's not as if these toys were ever planned or actually cancelled; they were made post-mortem.

This Is very true we probably wouldn't get them I think the only one of the mockups that had "actual" plans was the sg rodimus from springer but Hasbro said no and wouldn't let them rotate the skydive mold for it. Still I miss botcon I don't know why but I feel like there is a hole in the community with out it.

I totally miss Botcon!!! That was a terrific show, and a great way to meet and hang out with other collectors. Even if I did not care for the exclusives, it was still a ton of fun to attend Botcon. It was the closest I could get to being a kid again, being around all the stuff I loved as a kid, and buying up toys I love. I miss that a lot.

I have had similar fun at other conventions, and particularly Joe Con, which is going away this year as well. Bummer. Maybe Hascon would be fun?

For the club toys, they had some good stuff, but it usually wasn't my thing. What I miss the most is the Botcon convention.

That’s not true... Pete said multiple times they planned on doing the Vehicons but kept pushing them back. Most of these were done before BotCon was canned, they just weren’t approved or rejected yet.

I was a bigger fan of the Classic Pretenders, who I’d still like to see get done in a multipack like the Target Micromaster set alongside unreleased Pretenders and maybe the existing ones.

I don't really miss them, especially when Generations is now tackling all the obscure characters we never thought would get toys. Botcon's novelty items like Shattered Glass and the Animated continuation are something I missed but they regularly reach prices I can't even begin to afford so I only really miss them as sort of museum exhibitions where I admire their existence but will never own myself.
