I dont know what they call it live or online but are you able to do that for free and how are you able to play ps3 that way. I play xbox 360 online against people across the world at a friends house just never played ps3 that way and i have a ps3 too.
For Xbox Live, there are two different subscriptions. There's the silver membership, which is basically free, but there are a few limits (they escape me at the moment, sorry). Then there's the gold membership, which you do have to pay for, but you get to watch movies and TV shows, listen to music, and other stuff. PlayStation Network is free also, but if you want to get some stuff for lower prices on the PlayStation Store, you can get PlayStation Plus. Of course, you have to pay for that as well.
Silver- No online play,Hulu Plus,Netflix or any other apps.Zune works. Gold- Online play, apps, discounts and access to more.$5 a month or so. PSN-see Gold minus some apps and less security but it's free.
After the hack/credit card numbers stolen, there's no debate. PSN blows and no one could pay ME to put my credit card information on there again.
That's fine, but at least Sony came out and said there was an issue. Microsoft has yet to publicly confront the FIFA, and other phising scams.
Exactly, you don't know what isn't being told to you. Steam just got hacked badly, which actually included credit cards, and no one has even piped in about it. Don't suck the media sack man. The media only went ape shit when it happened on PlayStation. No credit cards were stolen. No credit cards were used. And companies like your bank get hacked all the freakin time. You may as well not use your credit card anywhere, ever. I swear, if (when) Microsoft gets hacked enough to the point where they absolutely have to admit it, it's going to be like telling to a bunch of Christians that Aliens created the Earth. They won't know how to act, lol. I realized that I hadn't played online on Live since Halo Reach, so I was spending money on crap and I cancelled it until ME3 or something comes out. Can't justify paying the price of a game on something I wasn't using. That's why love their month to month, because dry spells make 50 bucks hurt a lot more. That's Arkham City. I'm glad MS has that system.
TJD: That's what those game cards are for. And back on the topic: The thing with Playstation Plus, you have to keep getting it, if you want to keep some features. There are bonus thing to Plus that you can only get through Plus. If you drop it, you drop the exclusive bonus stuff.
