I see we have the character Sideswipe are we going to see him in red?

Also are we going to Sunstreaker also?

And maybe the other two Decepticon jets maybe?

Any thoughts?

I saw a re-paint at of Sideswipe that looked like the Stunticon Deadend so is this going to happen?

you're probably thinking of the Sideways repaint Deadend.

And we've already seen pictures of the red Sideswipe repaint, it's called Swerve.

 

I am still holding out for a red Ironhide. I never ended up getting the 2007 movie version or the new ROTF version.

 

10 bucks the new dirge figure will be repainted into at least thrust and maybe ramjet if we are lucky

There's going to be a toys r us exclusive g1 deco rotf soundwave.

i personally dont like G1 repaints of movie figures.. the last movie's jazz and starscream looked ghastly, to me...

 

I agree man. If a toy is crap, it'll still look like crap ... even if you try to cover it up in G1 colors.

Yeah, I have to agree... when they first came out, I thought they looked cool and bought them. Now I'm thinking "Why did I bother buying them? I may love G1, but having G1-repaint Movie figs just looks... I don't know... weird."

I might break my "No Repaints" rule for a Red Ironhide, but more because I think that'd look really cool than for some kind of nice G1 homage.

They'll most likely roll out some G1 coloring like they did with the 1st movie. And they'll probably be hit-or-miss.

 

I assume that one's a custom but I'd buy an official G1 repaint of Mixmaster without question, the color scheme he has in ROTF looks fine on the CGI model but the toy looks dull as dishwater.

 

Their are putting out a red repaint of the legends Ironhide.

 

Most definitely, though it's hard to say who will get the G1 treatment. I'll be somewhat surprised if we don't see a Red Voyager Ironhide repaint of either the first mold, the first retool, or the second retool. Personally, I'm hoping the second retool we heard about from Botcon gets the honor of the red repaint. Leader Jetfire is one I can see getting a G1 repaint, though I'm not sure how good it would look. While not exactly a "G1 inspired" repaint, it'd be nice to see the Voyager Megatron mold get a more accurate paint job. Either in a nice shiny silver (similar to what Sideswipe has), or at least a shade of gray, instead of the green he currently is. I can see Skids getting a G1 repaint too, and it wouldn't be all that hard. Pretty much just paint him blue with some read and white stripes, or even go for the flames the Alternator version of him had.

 

Megatron should get a G1 Deco too.
